PROPERTY RUN BY A MANAGEMENT COMPANY! NIGHTMARE! Our first day we arrived to the A/C sounding like a jack hammer was on the roof. We were told we would get a 10% discount or could vacate the property 2 hours after our arrival. ( This issue was no surprise to them!) Where could we find a 3 bed, 3 bath house for 10 days? The management company jerked us around for 3 days. I finally accepted their 10% discount to not ruin our vacation. They entered the property while we were not there without our consent. The house is in major need of upkeep. Horrible warped, lifting floor and plaster falling off the walls.The only positive is the pool and the view. It was beautiful.I chose to remain at the property because I had no other option. It was beyond disappointing for renting a Villa 10 months prior to our arrival.

Great View

The home is high on a hill, modern and very clean. The pool is wonderful and a perfect temperature. We stayed for 1 month. Beatrice met us at the house and responded to our questions quickly. The cleaning crew came in once a week which was fantastic We were not prepared for how steep and narrow the roads were in our area, but it appears to be the norm. My husband eventually became an expert driver. Madeira is a wonderful place to visit. We are happy we chose An Island Apart.
