Rasa Motel is great value and the staff provides wonderful service! The property is not directly on the beach, it is across the street. There is beach access within walking distance with many beach activities available including boating and jet skiing. The beds in the rooms are VERY comfortable!!! The hotel lobby provides free coffee. There is a very nice outdoor seating area with a library and tables for remote working, smoking areas, etc. The staff also offers luggage holding if you need that service before/after checkout. I would definitely stay here again!

The place was incredibly cozy. The owners are amazing - give you a map that shows all the local places when you check in. They even lent me a bamboo mat for the beach! The place is also spotless - they take great care of it. Air conditioning and TV both worked very well. A 5 minute slow walk from the beach, and there is a supermarket literally 5 meters from the front door. It's not a 5 star hotel, but if you want to spend most of your time exploring the beach and having fun and not in your room, I would highly recommend this place!

This place is a fantastic value. Spacious and very clean rooms located right across from major hotels. Walking distance to restaurants and beach. Has an on-site Turkish restaurant with good food. Nearby excellent laundromat. Can be noisy sometimes due to echo-y hallways and inconsiderate guests. Major downside is location is far from Georgetown and urban Penang sights and you can’t really swim at the beach. Would also be much improved if they put an electric kettle in each room — the communal water dispenser was hard to work for hot water. Overall, though, we really appreciated this hotel and would stay here again!

私はレビューを見てここに泊まることに決めました。実際宿泊費がとても安かったので不安もまりましたが、泊まってみてとてもよかったです。周りのホテルはとても高いですがここは値段に対して想像以上にホテルスタッフがフレンドリーです。私がここに泊まったのはちょうどコロナウイルスが世界中で問題になっている時で、当初予定は2泊でしたが飛行機が2度もキャンセルになり2週間ほど宿泊させてもらいました。私は、マレーシアのコンセントが日本と異なることも知っていましたが忘れてしまいました。ですが、ここのホテルスタッフにマレーシア用のコンセントを貸していただきとても助かりました。ドライヤーもこころよく貸してくださいました。1人で宿泊しましたがベットはクイーンサイズでしょうか？とても十分でした。トイレとシャワーは一緒ですが私はあまり気になりませんでした。クーラーも完備されていて快適に過ごせます。テレビも付いていて付け方がわからなかったのでこころよくつけてもらいました。2週間過ごしてきてずっとここに入れるくらいとても安くて快適で何よりスタッフがフレンドリーなので次来るときもここ一択です。lockdownによりココ周辺のアトラクションにも１つも行けなかったのですぐまたきたいと思います。皆さんもこのレビューをみて是非ラサモーテルに泊まってみてください。間違いありません。

Extremely clean. Owner had a pack giving details of the area and island ready for all guests e. g. location of pharmacy, bus routes, places of interest, atm's... It had an infinite supply of hot and cold drinking water. Very helpful and friendly staff. Also, a good location for the beach and a bus stop right outside. Can't think of anything negative to say. Very clean, very friendly

They were so friendly and helpful! They take extremely good care of the place, cleaning out the AC, painting the corners of where the wall meets the floor that most people don’t pay attention to. It’s very clean and it’s also a short walk to the beach. Actually the crown of my tooth fell out while I was there and they suggested a dentist, I went and the dentist was amazing! Thank you so much for a nice stay and for going out of your way to help me!

Mr Chan the owner was very courteous and helpful at check in. Everything was working perfectly in the room for three adults that I stayed in. It was very clean, including the bathroom. For the price I paid it was excellent value for money.

Der Inhaber ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Am Empfang gibt es kostenlos Trinkwasser. Das Zimmer ist sehr sauber und modernisiert. Das Bett gemütlich. Es hat uns so gut gefallen, dass wir mehrmals verlängert haben. Absolut zu empfehlen!

The best place I have ever visited!

This is the best hotel experience I have ever received. The most friendly people working at the motel, great outdoor possibilities and close to the beach. I would highly recommend this place.

Great and friendly service, nice room.

Very warm and welcomming couple, that provide a great service, which you won't find in many places. The owner told me that he used to work as a quality manager in a large cooperation, and that he uses his experience and knowledge to focus on costumer need/satisfaction. He an his wife will provide you with useful information about the area, and you will feel very welcome whenever you meet them. The rooms are basic but very clean and with a good bed, TV and a good air condition. They will clean it every day, if you put the sign on the door. Useful information as of 24 July 2019: Bus 102 runs directly to/from the airport (but only every 60/80 minutes). Bus 101 runs to/from Komtar in Georgetown, from where you can go to the airport and rest of the island. The buses are cheap, bring small money, as you don't get any change! (oneway from airport, about 5-6 Ringgit). 44 Ringgit for a oneway to the airport with Grab at 8am. Eat at the food market that opens at 19pm, it's cheap and great! The beach is great, but not for swimming for very small children (it's got a swell). Bus 101 takes you to the national park, from where you can hike in the jungle (medium/hard) to Monkey Beach, which is beautiful. It takes around 1,5 hours each way. Bring plenty of water. Or you can go by boat from the entrance of the park. Each boat is 50 Ringgit oneway, no matter the number of persons. The Spice garden is okay, can be reached by bus 101 or by foot/3K.

Rasa motel bagus!

Li and Chan, the owner/managers are extremely helpful and cheerful hosts. Made me feel at home right from the word go. The room was neat and very clean. Everything worked. Location is a bit of a hike from jetty but in a good area nonetheless. Hire a scooter and explore the island with Batu Ferringi as your base. Excellent stay at Rasa motel. Will stay Herr again when I come back to Penang.
