"Travelled with my daughter and her two boys love this hotel been back twice now loved the gym the pool the sauna coming back in march the food was expensive though and we ate out lovely beautifull hotel would highly recomend well done Delta Hotel"

"Due to being so cold through night, we didnt sleep until the bedroom heated and consequently, being so tired, we missed breakfast. This was a special time for us... But sadly it was ruined by the room being so cold. We were booked for Saturday night so wanted to cancel, but were told it was too late. So it proved to be so expensive and a disappointment. We are very elderly and I feel we were badly let down. Having said that we found the staff were absolutely wonderful! Very helpful and so kind...from receptoon (particularly reception Wednesday afternoon until 11pm went the extra mile for which ... many thanks "

"Specious room with good amenities. Nice food. Only negative was the ensuite had no door only a curtain which was not very private "

"We enjoyed our stay. The room was nice and clean and spacious with a nice comfortable bed. The staff were polite and helpful. The breakfast was OK, although the cooked breakfast was a bit too greasy for my liking and the bacon and scrambled eggs were rather dry and over done. "

"The host responded promptly to our messages, all instructions were clear and the home was warm for us on our arrival. The space was cleverly planned to have everything you need. The views were beautiful and we were lucky to have dry days to explore Gibside and the Derwent valley. Lovely peaceful location, amenities close at hand. Thoughtful supply of books to read and general information. Very cosy and a tonic for the soul as so restful. "

"The listing says free parking on site. In fact the property is down a pedestrian alley with no vehicle access - that said there is ample free off-road parking close by. Given it's location it's very difficult to find, the view of the property on the listing is only visible once you're inside their yard behind a locked gate - I drove up & down several times looking for the property. Once I spoke to the property it was easy enough to find, but you do need directions! All that said the bed was comfy, the shower excellent and the service friendly. Now I know where it is I would stay there again. (I didn't need it but there is a full kitchen available for guest use). Lots of take away, restaurant food and shops on the doorstep."
