「Cindy was an amazing host who greeted us as soon as we got out of our car. She offered us hot chocolate and told us to meet her inside when we were ready. 「The welcome building is terrible. After a long drive we needed to use the restroom. It was behind the check-in desk and worst than a gas station restroom. Toilet couldn't flush and it was dirty and unkept. The outside of the property is in need of repairs. Very shabby looking. The first room we looked at was dingy looking and smelled stale. 「Island House Newport was absolutely perfect. It doesn’t feel like a hotel at all, it truly feels like a home. The space, design, and attention to detail made it incredibly comfortable, especially traveling with our 1-year-old. Everything felt calm, private, and thoughtfully set up for a family stay. The staff were also incredibly friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better. We’ll definitely be coming back.」

「I cannot say enough good things about this place— it was the best part of our trip! Super easy to get into your room, from the nice ambiance in the stairwell to the cleanest room & bathroom I have ever stayed in. The bed is really comfortable and there was no noise that was heard from any other rooms.
From the Admiral we walked to Chomp to have dinner one night, which was very good, and in the mornings we walked to the Picnic Cafe for coffee and they have good pastries. And if you can get there...
