「The staff were all friendly,inviting and hard working, the room was basic but perfect for us, comfy bed,was warm and adequate for our needs. The evening meal was lovely as was the breakfast and reasonably priced. If your one of those snobs who run fingers along skirting boards or delve into the various crevices in bathrooms then don't stay but if your like us ...enjoy a nice warm comfortable room, happy staff and excellent food then the regent is perfect for you. Definitely will stay again 」

「Very easy experience from booking as great communication from the owner. This self catering rental has everything you need from a comfortable lounge to a fully equipped kitchen, I even cooked a full English breakfast! Surprisingly quiet considering it was on the second floor of a 3 story block accessible up 2 flights of concrete stairs therefore would not be suitable for less able bodied people. Taxis cost roughly £5 into town, however, the local bus stop is close by. Ample off street parking...

「We paid for the breakfast it was not free as this review might suggest. Well worth the money, the whole place was spotlessly clean, beautifully presented. The staff at the restaurant/hotel/ wildlife park were polite, helpful nothing was too much trouble. The room was smallish but so very clean and bathroom was lovely and again very clean, plenty of tea coffee etc in rooms. I loved every minute of my stay. 」

「Overnight stop en route from London to Keswick. We were made very welcome by reception and the room was warm, clean and comfortable, especially the bed. The evening meal was pricey for what was basically a bar meal, but the quality was high. We would have welcomed a "Senior's Portion" as we felt unable to tackle the attractive dessert menu. In the morning, a hot shower and a excellent hearty breakfast set us on our way.」
