We only stayed one night here to break our journey south, but would be more than happy to stay here again. Lovely good sized room with air conditioning which was great as it was 35C. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. We ate in the Jacobite restaurant which had a good selection of meals on offer. We had a lovely breakfast the next morning with plenty of choices available.
Great value and good quality throughout. Room was a good size, well equipped and clean. Plentiful parking and gardens were immaculate. Restaurant was more of a pub style theme and good value with a good selection for breakfast for the breakfast serving.
Second stay in the hotel, lovely room, spotlessly clean, staff are wonderful and breakfast amazing.
Resturant also very good with a varied menu I would highly recommend.
Staff are fantastic! rooms very good plenty of room, lots of food choices in the pub restaurant. Fantastic breakfast lots of choice and very freshly cooked

The hotel was very clean, the food was good, the room was clean and had everything I needed and the staff were really friendly. the hotel is a bit of a maze but it adds to its charm!
The suite I was in was very nice and clean. The room was quiet and loads of parking. Would highly recommend. The gentleman that checked me in was very friendly. The lady that checked me out wasn’t that friendly and was more interested in other things. But would definitely stop again.
A lovely hotel, quirky layout and route to some bedrooms but worth it.
The Jacobean bar and meals were excellent (could improve service) and breakfast was fantastic - avocado on toast a star!
Room was lovely and warm. Great shower, excellent choice of TV channels, room service was a bonus and delicious and the breakfast was superb. The staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel itself is beautiful and historic, the grounds are kept beautifully too. A great stay and would definitely stay again. Fabulous price as well!
As always The Roger Thorpe hits the mark! 10/10! Great service and food.
I spoke to a guest who had never stayied before and he said exactly the same! 5 star service, food and room!
Great to support a local family hotel.
I will be staying again very soon.
The room was very spacious and clean, the staff were very helpful when needed. The choice of breakfast was good and the food very fresh and cooked well. We would certainly visit again.
Room was clean and comfortable. Bed was very comfortable. What a great place to stay and was decorated for Christmas, so cheery and pretty. The breakfast in the pub was wonderful. Lots of options and well appointed.
Front desk man very good. Breakfast ok. Evening meal quite good. Room 22 Churchill bit out dated, has an aircon unit for cooling however quite noisy and radiator for heat, so not really air-conditioning as advertised. Would i stay again, probably not.
