Palmetto House

We had a wonderful visit to Eleuthera and staying at the Palmetto House was just the right spot for our family. The house was very clean and new and stocked with all that you need. Terri left us some treats to start our vacation off well and was very responsive to any questions we had. The beds were very comfortable and the back up generator certainly was helpful as we heard it kick in a few times. We loved the outdoor bathtub and having the golf cart to go back and forth to the beach was great. We would definately stay here again!

Palmetto house was even better than we expected. It's a beautiful home on a beautiful property. It had everything we needed for our stay and then some. The golf cart was great for going to beach and pool in the neighborhood. Terri was very responsive and helpful. We would stay at Palmetto house or any of Terri's properties again.

Perfect Beach House and Host

This property if perfect and has everything you need to enjoy your stay on the island. Terri was fabulous with information about the island and very hospitable. We loved our stay at Palmetto House!

Excellent stay

This was our family’s first time staying in Eleuthera and Palmetto house was perfect for our adventures. We cooked a few meals together at night, the kitchen was well equipped and a great dinning room table for us to gather around. The location was centrally located for exploring the island and the golf cart was very nice for rides to the pool and Pascals for happy hour. Comfy beds, washer and dryer, pool noodles, cooler, games, etc…this house had it all. We fell in love and can’t wait to return.

Lovely house

The house was brand new and equipped with every cooking appliance and picnic supply. Terri was responsive and available for any questions and left us wine and beer and flowers when we arrived. We loved being near Gov’s Harbor for dinners , etc. I highly recommend this place.

Home away from hoe

Palmetto House was outstanding for many reasons, first of which is the owner Terri, who made herself available for questions and help if necessary but never intrusive. Everything about the house is top notch—well-equipped kitchen, large capacity washer/dryer, luxurious linens, and comfortable furniture. Even the extra amenities like spices, soaps, and other bathroom items were more than the norm. The location and layout of the house was ideal and the huge porch with porch swing was an added bonus. We didn’t use the community pool much because it was too cool but the ocean was better anyway. This was a lovely home for a laidback vacation.

Great for larger families

The Poinciana House is great for larger families and even extended families. We have stayed twice- once with our 3 children and once with a group of 10. A larger group does require some bathroom sharing- as there are only 2 showers inside but we also made use of the outside shower. The house is equipped with many of your island needs- snorkeling equipment, beach needs, back up generator, and all cooking supplies. The fact that it is new construction is nice as well! The kids love the upstairs space and the adults love having the downstairs to themselves. Although the house is not directly on the beach, it is an easy golf cart ride away. Just be careful crossing the Queens Highway. Our group also loved snorkeling near the boat ramp down the street from the house. With this house you get both sand and beach waves and rocky cliffs with snorkeling. Pretty cool! The property owner is also wonderful! She is quick to respond to any question or need. We will be back!

Our Best Trip Yet!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been to Eleuthera several times. We typically stay at a hotel. We generally like have amenities and services available. This was our first time renting a home. We are so glad we did! The home is brand new and has everything for your stay. The beach and pool are just across the street and I would argue it's a better beach than French Leave. Everything in the home is brand new and beautifully decorated. You are just a short drive into Governor's Harbor and Craving's just opened a new bake shop just a couple of blocks down the road. This home would be great for a small family (we have 3 kids under 11). Or friends and family traveling together. If you are worried because it's your first time to the island, don't worry. The owner knows the island front and back and she will ensure you have a wonderful stay. Our family is already looking at dates to return.

Fantastic Stay in Eleuthera!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: As an Airbnb owner myself I am aware of how difficult it can be to live up to the expectations of guests. However this home really had it all. There was nothing left to worry about from towels, snorkel gear, fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and linens...literally better than home! We spent mornings and evenings on the porch chatting and explored Eleuthera during the day. I have never stayed in a rental that was so well thought out and prepared. Not only that but the location was superb! We had originally booked at a different location that did not work out, so we switched to Palmetto House shortly before our trip and wow were we glad! Close to Gov Harbour for shopping and banks etc, but also walking distance to swimming, beaches and Pascals Restaurant with the swim up bar on the beach. We absolutely loved the deep clear blue water at the boat ramp (also walking distance from the house) and we rented Kayaks for a day to explore the shoreline. All in all we had a fantastic stay, and will absolutely be back.

Magnificent villa
