"We had a lovely 4 night stay in May, with perfect weather for enjoying the fantastic outdoor room with tub overlooking the water. As others have mentioned in their reviews, the three bedrooms are "open concept" without privacy. The converted apartment includes a "loft" bedroom with a low ceiling and tricky stairs. "We arrived mid October in the middle of a huge storm. The effect of the storm caused a massive dump of seaweed right up to the property and those adjacent. It was impossible to walk along the beach . There was great volume of plastic debris that had washed up with the seaweed. There was no attempts to clear it including a plastic sunbed that was smashed up and half burned by the sea weed.. when the storm abated locals came each morning to fish and left their litter, including plastic behind. "The view is amazing from this place! We ate outdoors and loved the mountain air after being in the interesting city of Napoli. The pool is very small with no seating area Or shade which is a shame we only used it once during our 2 week holiday. We spent our time on the private beach which is beautiful, €28 a day for the four of us. We hired a car to explore the island, Cefalu is beautiful. Benedetto was the ultimate host, responsive and supportive, and the setting was superb. "Salemare Rooms and Suites was truly a perfect hotel experience. Every detail was well thought out and their staff from check-in, to breakfast, to housekeeping was incredibly warm and competent. Giuseppe went above and beyond to make sure we had a pleasant stay, giving us great local recommendations and even making his personal phone line available for us to ask questions. Breakfast was amazing, we loved how the daily offerings changed and the ingredients were so fresh I found myself craving their delicious produce all day. I don’t think we could have picked a more ideal location. A block from the beach, the Salemare felt like it was in the middle of it all, perfectly located between old and new Cefalù, everything was walkable. The minibar was well curated, provided beach towels were plush and luxurious, we loved the drying rack on the balcony, housekeeping was impeccable, toiletries were ample and smelled great, the TV had multiple languages and options like YouTube and Netflix, the marble floors were even more beautiful than in the pictures, the shower created a spa-like experience, and air conditioning almost worked too good…. With only two seasons under their belt: Guiseppe and his family are truly setting the standard for hotels everywhere. We will be day dreaming about this property and beautiful Cefalù until we return. "
