"Unable to sleep! Do not stay here during the summer. Even though it seemed to cool off at night, and even with a fan, it was so hot in the top bedroom that we sweat all night and did not sleep a wink. Also, there was a dog barking next door so that made it even harder to sleep. For some reason, there isn’t a pool listed in the description but when we complained about the heat, we were told we could use the pool. The property is beautiful but unbearable in terms of getting sleep, I do not...

"We found sanctuary at this lovely farmhouse during the July heat wave--refreshing dip in the pool, relaxing dinner in the courtyard, restful sleep in the air-conditioned home. Got up to watch the sunrise over the vineyards, absolutely stunning scenery, and watched three hot air balloons also taking in the sights. Matteo was very welcoming, and we bridged the language barrier with a little help from Google translate. Wished we could have stayed longer!"

Top Greve in Chianti Hotel Reviews

Castello Vicchiomaggio

8/10 Good

"This was an enchanting place to stay, spectacular views and a wonderful daily breakfast."

Agriturismo Villa Ulivello in Chianti

8/10 Good

"I loved the attentiveness of the staff and the place was well maintained. The food and wine were fantastic. Being able to wash some clothes was a great benefit to staying there! The only thing that we really did not enjoy were the pillows and the bed. The bed was really hard and the pillows were clumpy. The scenery and the view were great!"

A wonderful country house in the heart of Chianti

8/10 Good

"The location of this property was excellent. Very easy walk to the town center in Panzano. Also easy to get around the area by car.Paola was a very gracious host and had wine and biscotti waiting for us then brought us pastries on our last day!"

La Pensione di Vignamaggio

8/10 Good

"We had a lovely stay. Staff were fantastic, room (2) was lovely with a delightful view of the Tuscan countryside. The room's soundproofing was not good. It was very noisy from reception in the mornings. Unfortunately, the pilllows also were not very comfortable. Great location for exploring."

Authentic Private Tuscan Villa for 12 people in Greve: the Heart of Chianti

10/10 Excellent

"This property could not have been better! It was one of those rare occasions when reality actually surpassed the photos. Our entire family was in awe of the breathtaking views from the moment we arrived.Elena was a fantastic hostess, attentive, helpful, and a pleasure to work with. She arranged a wonderful dinner for our arrival evening and recommended an outstanding chef for our wedding celebration. Both dinners were absolutely perfect! The villa’s location was ideal for exploring Tuscany, with several wonderful destinations within easy reach for day trips. Another huge advantage was that the villa is part of a larger winery estate with additional rooms available for rent, which worked perfectly for accommodating our extended family and wedding guests. The property, the setting, and the hospitality made our stay truly unforgettable. We would return in a heartbeat and cannot recommend this villa highly enough!"

Agriturismo Montemagni di Sopra

10/10 Excellent

"We absolutely loved our stay. Such a wonderful family who own and run the agriturismo, which is close to Greve, Chianti. If your idea of a stay in Tuscany is to be in a restored villa with all the amenities, surrounded by vineyards and olive groves, drinking the top notch wine produced by the family, eating an incredible dinner on the terrace (including their own olive oil) and having space to relax at the pool or patio, then please book at Agriturismo Montemagni di Sopra. Super easy to get places throughout Tuscany and such a relaxing place to return to after a busy day. The best location we stayed in our 2 weeks of travel."
