Safe, quiet and small resort. Perfect for a relaxing vacation. Food and service was excellent. Beach was beautiful. Short walk into town was nice.

Outdated

The beach is superb. The resort is old and plans are there for it to be demolished next year to build a new resort. Food was overall good but the staff in the buffet was not friendly and provided very poor service.

Not bad, but needs updating.

All-inclusive and everything is covered. Food is pretty good, and you are right on the beach / near the shops. The plumbing needs major work, and some days you'll have low water pressure.

It gave what I expected. Great location. Great staff. Food was bland and geared toward British tourists. But no problem; They kept plenty of hot sauce nearby. Loved the bartenders. Hopefully this place will still be reasonably priced after they rebuild.

The rooms and property decor was very outdated. The entertainment was limited and not geared towards an active vacationer. There were extremely limited choices of premium liquor. The resort was virtually silent after 10:00 p.m. The property is in a great location of Rodney Bay. This could be the perfect resort if modernized.

This is a motel 6 with a view. Lousy amenities, staff was unhelpful and sometimes rude. Many water issues , dated facilities , poor communication from managers. Never going back.

The hotel was situated in a fabulous position and had potential. The rooms whilst clean were tired and needed upgrades although it could be seen that some efforts had been made they were poorly done . The pool area was clean and tidy but not enough umbrellas . And considering it was on the beachfront there was no attendance or umbrellas. The food was adequate ! The drinks plentiful.

The staff were so courteous and happy to help, particularly the lovely lady in the lobby bar in the evenings and the receptionists. The buffet was very good - plenty of healthy salad choices as well as fish, meat and chicken main dishes and assorted veggies, as well as pasta and pizza once or twice. The beach is beautiful with turquoise and blue waters and lots of fish. Very lovely peaceful spot - we had an ocean view room and barely heard the evening entertainment which in any case ends around 10pm. Altogether we had a lovely relaxing week and plenty of rum punches. The first time we have tried an all inclusive but we will be back.

Staff very nice and accommodating. Management needs a lot to be desired. You cannot arrive at 3PM and they tell you "wait for one hour to get your room ready". You cannot wait forever for the manager to address a simple problem, etc.

The hotel is in a good place, with a very clean and quiet beach, the pool is clean but it is not deep 1.10m, near the hotel there are many restaurants, bars and a shopping center unfortunately the quality of the hotel food is not good, and the service in general is poor, except at the front desk. It has problems with the water pressure in the shower. I don't think they should be an all-inclusive hotel, since in order to get a quality dinner you have to go to restaurants.

Very quiet, clean, low key hotel. The bars closes at 11pm. They serve and cater to mostly the English people. The staff are really nice though. And if you're as social aa i an you can ask the kitchen staff to prepare something local. I personally travel to places to have a taste of that place... meaning i would have liked to see more of an island menu and not an English menu. I heard that the hotel is 9 months new under its new management so I'm planning to return at same hotel in 2 years to see how they are really doing and hopefully my review will have all 5 stats. But so far still to new to complain

Séjour au starfish hôtel ste Lucie un peu décevant Pourtant l’établissement est idéalement situé à Rodney bay, en bord de mer et a 2 pas des restaurants, bar et boutiques de la ville. Mais l’état des chambres et surtout de la salle de bain laisse à désirer. Le point négatif est aussi pour le resto type buffet, la nourriture n’est pas extra et souvent en quantité insuffisante pour le nombre de client. Aussi pas assez de transat au bord de la piscine. Et je rajouterai le staff est assez vite débordé pas le nombre de client à servir, les pauvres ils doivent être éreintés à la fin de la journée C’est dommage car l’hôtel pourrai être top

Had a great time, the people were nice. It seemed that sometimes things closed early like the pool and water sport rentals, but I count that as my own bad luck. Still, I wish they would stick to schedules and promises. They send their towels out for cleaning service, so they are constantly out of beach towels, sometimes even bath towels in the rooms. So, just like with overhead bins in planes there and back, get there early to claim them. Keep your beach towels for a day or three and get them early in the morning. The all-inclusive was great, drinks and food almost all waking hours, it was surprisingly tasty and with a variety. Stay away from that orange sauce they always have at the buffet, it is so hot it could kill some people that don't like spicy food!

Check in was swift , my room was very basic not a home from home feeling at all.the water was turned off three times during my stay along with construction work next door with drills and loud banging, i did mention to front desk they sorted these issues, i didn't like all the files around the cold food counter, with the unreasonably amount of money charged to stay you could invest in a cold counter with a screen to limit bacteria from entering the foods on display. The food and beverages staff were very friendly and accommodating at all times the food was tasty just need to cook enough.,at time it was average in choice, it was fairly expensive to stay at the starfish so the expectations were of a four /five star rating unfortunately it was not for me. I honestly felt you over charged people as alot of my friends had paid well over the odds for the same room also food services. Just feel a bit disappointed. As we travel st lucia every year and enjoy staying in all of the hotels on the strip. Maybe a complete renovation in and outside of the hotel could be a life saver 🙌

A small, beautiful, well kept resort. Food was very good quality but extremely limited choices. Very few food choices maybe 5 dinner options at the whole buffet and food ran out quickly. The hours for dining are also limited. But the food they did have tasted very good. A la cart was a waste of an evening. Waited almost 2 hours for our meals. The strawberry daiquiris were delicious but the staffing at the pool bar was terrible. Long waits. Sometimes only 1 bar tender in the afternoon. They tried their best but couldn’t keep up with demand. The evenings were underwhelming. Most nights there was a live musician until 9:30. There was one fun night with a fire dancing group. After 9:30 there is absolutely nothing to do on the resort. The resort is extremely quiet and the majority of guests were above 70 years old. The resort has a lot of potential but is far from meeting it. The price is very high for what you get. We will definitely not be visiting this resort again.
