“I would have given this place 5 stars except that they have a mouthy guy at the gate who didn't want to let me leave the property after I checked out unless and until I followed whatever strict ticket scanning protocol he had made up that day. He could have just pushed a button and lifted the gate after a quick radio call to the front desk to make sure I was on the up-and-up, but he decided instead to lord over his parking domain like a petty little tyrant. He lost them a star. Aside from……

“The property is in a right place. It has a beautiful view of the volcanos and Lake Atitlan. Not totally impress with rooms not having small refrigerators, Iron no security box. Those items are important for staying comfortably. ”

“Internet does not exist anywhere other than the lobby, although staff continues to say "keep trying". Miserable room design, and terrible bathroom fixtures. But the worst is the loud thumping of music from nearby bars. Ask for extra pillows to put over your head.”

“The location is fantastic with great lake and volcano views and a short walk to the Main Street. The hotel however is v average. The rooms are v dated, the bathroom smelt of drains and overall it’s noisy. Average at best. ”
