「This was a great spot to stay as our home base while we explored the Big Island. Great location- central to everything we wanted to do on the Hilo side (about an hour from VNP, and within an hour of several waterfalls). Easily the cleanest VRBO we have ever stayed in, and the added bonus of a gate made us feel safe and secure. If we return to the Big Island, we will definitely be staying here again! 」

「This home was perfect for my small family. Well equipped with all necessary amenities and even some extras, including coolers, beach, chairs, beach, umbrellas, snorkels, and boogie boards. My kids enjoyed running around the yard and picking fresh fruit. Very cold AC in all rooms made it comfortable to sleep at night. My only complaint would be the neighbor’s dog has a very loud bold bark, but we understand that there’s not much that the host could’ve done about that. 」

「The property has a spaceous kitchen/great room area and a very comfy couch. The kitchen has everything we needed and we were able to have several meals at the property. The shower is large and comfortable. The two bedrooms have a queen bed with plenty of room for suitcases, etc. The overall decor is lovely and interesting. We enjoyed working the puzzles and apreciated a chance to play Crimes Against Humanity.」

「On a whim we decided to fly to the Big Island and avoid the crowds and get a little hometown feel in Hilo. We missed the volcano eruption by just two days but that was the only disappointment for the trip. Our accommodations were perfect - exactly as described and photo’d. The welcome treat and coffee was a very nice touch. This was a perfect location to spend a day at Hawaii Volcano Ntl Park and another day driving around the island. 「We really enjoyed our stay in Honomu. The home is comfortable and well appointed. Sitting on the second floor balcony and enjoying the forest scenery as well as the ocean in the distance was a highlight. The cool air was refreshing and kept the home a comfortable temperature. We appreciated having laundry facilities available and used the kitchen daily. The day geckos were fun to watch scurrying around. At night, the coqui frogs were quite vocal.
