"We enjoyed our short 3 night stay at West Coast Inn in March 2026. We came to Hakuba to see the mountains and the snow, and the weather cooperated!! Our host at West Coast was wonderful and gracious! We plan to come back next year!"

"Amazing staff very attentive and helpful. The room, the onsen are very clean and well maintained. The food was amazing. Steps from a couple of conbinis and good restaurants. Only slight downside is that it’s a bit of a walk (20 min) or a short drive to Goryu ski resort. It’s a 15min cab ride to Happo. Didn’t find the public buses to be as easy or convenient to use so we used cabs or walk."

"The restaurant option closes at 8pm. Something the staff did not explain upon check in. The bar doesn’t open till 4pm in the afternoon. Again, something the staff did not explain. They don’t have any vending machines with food options. Seriously so no food on site after 8pm and nothing available to eat. They don’t have vending machines with Beer or Liquor options. There were no towels in the shower area. Yes they give you an Onsen towel and small towel in a tote bag but come on. Have proper towels for the room for when you shower. Lastly, their shuttle service doesn’t run until after the first bus from Hakuba t Nagano runs so we had to take Taxi’s into the town-1.5KM. "

"This hotel was absolutely incredible. It’s located just five minutes from Happo-One, which made getting to the slopes unbelievably convenient. The ski shuttle service the hotel provides is also fantastic. Whenever you want to ski, you simply go down to the ski concierge, let them know you’re heading out, and they’ll have all of your gear ready—clean, dry, and warm. Then they drive you straight to the mountain of your choice. It honestly couldn’t be easier. Yes, the hotel is on the pricier side, but it is absolutely worth it. The food at the restaurant is outstanding, and the service was truly impeccable. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty. I’m already looking forward to my next trip back to Japan, and I will definitely be staying here again."

"Loved this hotel. Very friendly staff and beautiful rooms and onset. Staff transferred us from and to the train station. There is a bus stop right outside that take you to happo, Hakuba 47, Goryu and Iimori all free of charge. Short walk to Echoland restaurants and a great Ramen restaurant opposite the local 7-11."

"Good option if you’re looking for something very close to the ski lift. Unpleasant smell all around probably due to the building being old."
