“Room itself fine but newly fitted shower tray flooded bathroom - Room service poor as 3 different menus give 3 different times this is available and a 4 Star hotel stopping room service at 8.00pm???? Wnen cold sandwiches came with chips quality was v poor - drie out bread a scraping of butter and over-fried oily chips - definitely not a 4 Star hotel - younger bar tender needs training on customer service and attitude. Housekeeping staff and receptionist great.”

“The room was clean, comfortable and well maintained with good decor. The bathroom had a powerful shower and enough room around the basin for your wash bags. Lighting in the bathroom is always an issue for me (!) so as usual I had my mirror on the window sill in search of natural light. We ate in the pub on the first night, sharing a platter. Good menu. My partner sampled the local beer and was pleased he did. Although a full breakfast was on offer we just had a yoghurt & some toast. The toast……

“We booked two rooms - one of which hadn't been cleaned on arrival but staff were very helpful and quick to sort an alternative room. Rooms are run down unfortunately and could do with some TLC in places. But the rooms are a really good size so as a large family across two rooms we didn't feel cramped. Car park is chargeable which doesn't guarantee you a space in there. We wne to out to find the car park very full despite having already paid so just something to be mindful of. Booked through……

“From the moment we arrived till we checked out this hotel delivered. Lovely welcome on arrival, spacious clean room. Comfortable bed, handy fridge, sofa. Delicious buffet breakfast. My preferred eggs were not in the buffet but asked and they were provided no problem. Evening meal was delicious too. Waiting staff very pleasant and helpful. Spa facilities were great. You pay £10 for use of the facilities. Well worth it. Loved the heated beds. Plenty treatments on offer too. Take £1 coin for the……
