「Not enough hot water to shower, the restaurants were not open. The place needs TLC.」

「This is an old motel and lots of cabins on site. NO staff there so you check in online. Room was very clean and comfortable. Right on the water so there is a small beach and the view is wonderful. Close to restaurants. It is old so if you're picky , you'll notice its age. The curtains didn't close so that is an issue and there is no one on site to fix things like that.」

「The room was classic Adirondack and very comfortable. The restaurant food was plentiful and excellent. The owners are top notch customer service providers. I highly recommend and I am not one who ever bothers to do these surveys but just felt compelled because of how wonderful this stay was. Support this small business!!」

「It was a real treat to stay at the Balsam Inn! The Inn is off the beaten path like I wanted and very very quite. Jenny is a warm welcoming host. She even upgraded my room just because it was available. The room itself was beautiful! It felt like I was a guest in someones Adirondack mountain home. Antique furniture, pines cones, snowshoes, layered bedding...like in an LLBean catalog. The bed was super comfy. I had a large screen TV and mini fridge in the room. Although there is a...

「The place is nice and cozy. Its ok for travelling, but the price for 1 night is just overrated.」

「The property had been cleaned and was in reasonably good condition. There was an overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke that really detracted from the positives. This was surprising because it was listed as a nonsmoking property. If you don’t mind the smell of cigarettes, then this is an economical and convenient place to spend the night.」

「Right on Route 28 . Easy to find.」

「Clean room with everything you need for a nice relaxing stay.. Quiet beautiful area.. Lenny was a great host and made us feel very welcome..」

「The place is great. Very clean and well kept. The issue is that the water in both the sink and shower is barely a trickle and always just ice cold. My wife got one shower that was almost a little warm, but the warm water only lasted for a minute. We were there for 3 nights」

「This was a nice place to stay for a brief, overnight stay. It was conveniently located in the heart of town and just a stone's throw away from the beautiful Long Lake. The room was a little basic but it did have a super refreshing shower. Would stay again because of the nice staff & convenience factor.」

「The space was great, the amenities were good, the location was good. Struggled a little with the lock on the door-probably our lack of technology understanding the door lock. Loved the decor. Easy access to the area. Great value for the location.」

「Has everything you need for basic cooking and sleeping. Comfy beds, quiet property, responsive host. Overall good if you're looking for a rustic experience.」

「Definitely a no frills motel. No air conditioning, the fan in the room didn't work and no TV. We felt the room rate was pretty hefty for what you get. The pool was unusable and the room was quite small. Tried to get the owner to adjust the rate down considerably the above and he was unwilling to do anything. The room was clean but not a great experience.」

「It was a nice place. Super comfortable beds and the bunk bed for the kids is a nice addition. 」

「The cabin was spotless & had so many amenities! The kitchen was fully stocked with dishes, pots & pans & glasses & mugsIt was the perfect getaway」

「Perfect size for a couple. Very clean, good amenities.」
