I booked this hotel mostly because of its location near the airport, and the positive ratings from other guests. I was not disappointed. It's not fancy. The furnishings have seen some wear. The breakfast is spartan (fried eggs and toast) but freshly made for you on the spot.. It's clean, the staff are very helpful and friendly (though their English is limited), and make sure they will get to the airport promptly. I got the impression it's family run. The neighborhood has many small shops and restaurants, so you won't starve, and the owners there are also friendly.
The area is really a Vietnamese neighborhood that happens to be right next to an airport. It won't be there forever. If the airport expands, which it probably will, the Dragon and the other shops will likely be razed. Enjoy a visit while you can.
