Great hotel, service was amazing. The staff were friendly and helpful. My room was clean, small in size for a “Honeymoon Suite” but no issues with noise. They had blackout curtains which were great. Shower water pressure was fabulous!

Really enjoyed our stay at this property. They were very accommodating of adding an extra person on the booking. Facilities were clean and comfortable. Food at the restaurant for dinner and breakfast was very nice. The staff was so sweet they even did a special celebration for a bday with breakfast. Would definitely come back and stay.

The staff was warm, welcoming and attentive. Whether it was directions, places to shop or places to eat, they were always willing to help provide insights on the best places to visit during our trip. The hotel was super clean and the breakfast was SOOO good. I recommend it.

This hotel is in an ideal location, walking distance to many attractions in the area. We were warmly greeted on arrival by Peter Nguyen who brought delicious fruit tea while he explained the hotel amenities and about the surrounding area. I recommend you ask for a room with a balcony and also enjoy the food & sunsets on the rooftop bar. There is no swimming pool but the hotel offered to drive us to their sister hotel to use the pool there. We declined as we were busy every day enjoying the neighbourhood. The breakfast provided is wonderful. The staff are friendly and well trained in hospitality.

A Charming Retreat at JM Marvel Hotel in Hanoi Old
As my stay at JM Marvel Hotel in Hanoi’s Old Quarter nears its end, I am compelled to share the wonderful experience I’ve had here. Currently residing in the last two rooms available, my time at this centrally located gem has been nothing short of delightful. The rooms, although lacking a scenic view, boast impeccable cleanliness, thanks to the diligent daily room service. The flawless water drainage system further enhances the overall comfort of the accommodations. What truly sets JM Marvel apart is its exceptional staff—special appreciation goes to Peter, the hotel manager, and the attentive team, including Miss Nguyen, Lily, and other dedicated members who have made my stay truly memorable. The spa downstairs has been a highlight of my visit. As someone not accustomed to spa services, I have been thoroughly impressed by their comprehensive package, offering relaxation from head to toe. The multitasking staff, including hair washing and drying services, has made this a unique and rejuvenating experience. I highly recommend indulging in their spa services to anyone visiting Hanoi. Regarding breakfast, I find the options to be satisfactory, exceeding my expectations. While not extensive, the quality is better than anticipated, making it a pleasant start to the day. We loved staying here, can’t recommend any more highly. The service was incredible - in particular Minnie and Lily took great care of us. We got some great recommendations for activities and places to eat, and the staff were very attentive with anything else we needed. The location is great, walkable to all the hotspots and attractions in Hanoi. We opted for a room without a window which was actually great as we didn’t get any street noise and we were mostly out and about. The breakfast buffet was delicious every day - some of the best pho we had in Hanoi. Overall really happy with our stay.

Wonderful hotel. Rooms are beautiful, and the bathrooms are modern and super clean. Best water pressure we had in a hotel ever. Roof top Sky Bar the very best in the Old Quarter with a great view. Would highly recommend this hotel and will be returning here on our next visit.

Great for a night or two
We actually stayed at their sister property, called GM. We were given an option to stay there instead of here, where we had our original booking. The room had a nice balcony and the bed was great- we prefer firm mattresses and it didn’t disappoint! The room was quiet. So important here in Hanoi The bathroom was a let down. It was poorly designed with very little places to hang items, and a shower that didn’t have a lip on the floor, causing lots of water everywhere! Sometimes I think that folks who design hotel bathrooms have never stayed in a hotel before. It looked fancy but was really impractical. The pool was bigger than others, and refreshing and clean. However, the deck is very small, there is not anywhere to lounge. Instead, there are 2 bistro tables and hard metal chairs. Staff were very friendly and helpful. If just staying for a night or two I would probably stay again.

We had a great stay. The staff are very friendly and always went out of their ways to connect with us. They took the time to check in on us when we came back each day and made sure we were enjoying our stay. Both my husbands and my birthday landed on our stay and the room was decorated so nicely- we really appreciated it. The restaurant was really good and as was the bar.

We were actually moved to the GM Marvel hotel upon arrival. It was considered an upgrade because the GM has a gym…but that gym is in the basement and not worth using. Hotel was fine, although the rooms were small. The complimentary breakfast was just ok. Looks like every other hotel in this area of Hanoi. Staff were very helpful

Hotel is a beautiful - right in the old quarter and staff are helpful and attentive and gave us some great recommendations on where to eat and things to do. We were upgraded to their sister hotel the GM premium around the corner with a pool and gym. This property was beautiful too. We were well taken care of and escorted and checked in to the GM premium by the same manager as the JM Marvel so the change was easy. Only stayed one night but wish it was longer. Rooms are lovely and tasteful. We had a beautiful balcony with a view too. We left early in the morning to catch our flight and the staff organised a full takeaway breakfast for us and also organised a airport transfer for us.

Amazing stay - BEST STAFF!
This hotel was marvelous. We chose the honeymoon suite with a balcony and although it was still a little small, it was lovely. The Ac worked perfectly, the water pressure in bathroom was fantastic and the beds comfortable. The thing the stood out the most was the staff. They are WONDERFUL! They went above and beyond - they were so lovely and accommodating. They even sent our luggage to meet us at the airport when we were running late from Halong bay for our flight. The laundry services saved us and the spa services were also lovely - we got a massage and it was much needed. The breakfast was PERFECT! I would stay here again and again. Also close to everything
