“As a road warrior over decades, I have seen good and bad, but I have rarely seen the attentiveness of the staff such as here at the Grand Resort. Always pleasant but exceptionally helpful. I had an emergency shoe repair needed for my only dress pair, and it was late on a Sunday when it was identified. The staff worked out where to get glue, sent a courier, and within an hour it was repaired. Incredible! I have literally never seen anything like it. The next day my meeting ran late, and……

“This place is a DUMP !! False advertisement. Described on website as a deluxe 1 bedroom studio apartment with fully equipped kitchen overlooking the ocean. We got a very small one room crammed space. A queen sized bed which was 10 steps from the door, a dorm size fridge and small microwave on a table, 1 chair in the corner close to the bed, a rod to hang your clothes. No toiletries, towels or anything. When we inquired about the fully equipped kitchen they took us downstairs to an area that had……

Regarding reviews about location, most travelers know Belize City is a jumping off point to get to the islands, one nights stay is sometimes required for connecting flights and water taxi. The hotels are not resort quality because no one is staying there for a week. This was a safe and clean location for our one night stay and totally worth the cost.
