“We had to arrive in belize city a day early to catch a boat the next morning, and this was a great stopping point. The staff were very accommodating, pool was nice to lounge at, and room was comfortable. ”

“The Best Western was preferred to the other 2 hotels I stayed at in Belize City. Food was good, they offer a shuttle service and the room was very clean and large. ”

“Lovely place by the sea and convenient for water taxis/ access to centre, but unfortunately there is significant property redevelopment occurring right in front of the hotel, causing excessive noise and blighting the views, etc. This is ongoing as of May 2024 and will likely last until at least the end of 2025. This should be mentioned on the property details. A room overlooking the rear of the property was better because of this. ”

“One South Place was clean, quiet, and felt like home from the moment I pulled up. Met a couple guests that were passing through the city and we shared many laughs out on the front porch area over some cold Belikins that were sold on site. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming as well. Taxi service was always a phone call away and the breakfast was fresh and delicious, especially the fried jacks. Both Lincoln the day security and Mark the night security were top notch down to earth……

“The room was clean. The hotel owner/manager could do a better job of greeting customers. Parking is good. Price is reasonable. This has been my go to hotel for the past 10 years whenever I visit Belize. ”

“Facility is okay at best, needs general upkeep to be completed. Painting would be helpful, garbage pickup around the property is needed. The pool is nice but the deck fencing around the pool needs to be repaired as part of it is down. You need a car to get anywhere. We like to walk but we really couldn’t because it is located off of a highway with no safe place for anyone to walk.
