"great stay celebrating friends special birthday. Reception failed to mention the time had to be put into the machine for car park so I got overcharged. They said they would get it refunded but so far it hasnt been. (£54) Chased it up a couple of times and ensured my e mail and tel number available but not had any correspondence. Spa lovely, used it a couple of times Happy hour cocktails perfect out on the decking on the sofas and good value. Breakfast very good although scrambled egg not hot. Lovely bread selection. Rooms quite hot as we are in a heatwave, fans provided but still hot (not hotels fault!! )"

"A lovely welcome at check-in, followed by a good night stay. Convenient hotel with easy walk to Knaresborough. The only chaotic bit was breafast. 2 staff members running around and we're quite abrupt with guests (and myself included). Next time, I'd probably skip breakfast and go up the road to a cafe!"

"Always have a lovely stay at the Crown. The breakfast cooked to order is lovely. All of the different sitting areas in the hotel are quirky and well furnished to sit for a drink/coffee or just for a chat, or you can help complete the current jigsaw that is on the go. The pool etc is good and if you choose to forgo your room clean they leave additional supplies in a paper bag on the handle of your door so you don't go short of tea/coffee etc. The bathrooms are a bit dated but very clean with nice toiletries The staff were all lovely and accommodating"

"The staff were very welcoming and helpful. We were given a free drink because it was our anniversary which was a nice surprise. Our room was clean and well supplied but would have been nice to have a better view. The hotel is very well situated opposite the park and within a short walk from the town."

"A very convenient and dog friendly place to stay during our travels. A dog bed, treats, water bowl and poo bags were provided for our dogs, and although there was road noise from our road-facing room, it didn't prevent us from having a good night's sleep. The breakfast hamper in the morning was delicious and allowed us to leave when we liked. The use of the two rear fields to walk the dog was very handy. We also enjoyed our evening meal and appreciated the friendly staff. Would recommend."
