“The Lucky Trout Lodge felt like revisiting a trip from my childhood. It is a quiet motel on the river with a quaint and rustic feel. We stayed in the triple room with 1 king and 2 queen beds. There was a refrigerator, oven/stove, microwave, and coffee maker. The room was spacious but the shower was a bit small. However, it was perfect for what we needed! We enjoyed strolling around the property and a nice dip in the pool. The river is beautiful, foggy, and cold!”

“After checking in I parked and noticed cigarette butts in front of the doorway, maybe 7-10. I got in the room and pulled the comforter back to sit on the bed and immediately noticed that the sheets had not been changed. I pulled the top sheet back and there was a drop of bright red blood on the bottom sheet.
I went to the bathroom to wash my hands and there was no hand soap and there was an unknown spot on the hand towel.
I went to the check in window which said “no refunds” and a woman came to……

“Cabin was GREAT!! Exactly as described. The porch is wonderful and relaxing! Furniture (inside & out) is comfortable. The owners were very communicative before & during our stay. A line of bad weather came through one afternoon and the owners reached to make sure we knew a head of time and were prepared. Will rent again if ever in Heber Springs area!!”
