The room was neat and tidy, but that's about as much praise as I can offer. I can only describe it as a poor man's Premier Inn - it's a basic place to sleep, dinner was average, breakfast was very poor.
Staff were OK, friendly enough, but they were hampered by the system they were working within - it's hard to be enthusiastic when you know that you're only offering "average".
The major downside was the two flights of steep spiral stairs to get to the room - not fun when carrying heavy bags.
To be perfectly honest, we would have been better off finding a Premier Inn on our route. At least it makes no bones about what it is, and what it offers.
