“We spent a wonderful five nights here in a family room and it was a truly immersive rainforest experience we will never forget. You are deep in the forest and an abundance of wildlife is all around-including some in your room or on your terrace so you need to be comfortable with that. We saw many toucans, hummingbirds, howler monkeys, an anteater, possums, and many jungle insects right from our room and immediately outside it, The howler monkeys wake you at 5am every day with deafening calls……

“Der erste Eindruck war ernüchternd, da von dem üppigen Bewuchs rund ums Haus, der auf den Fotos zu sehen war, nichts mehr übrig ist. Juanita, die leider kein Englisch spricht, hat uns mit einem sehr leckeren Fruchtshake begrüßt und auf Nachfrage konnten wir ihre Waschmaschine nutzen. Weiterhin hat sie einen Guide organisiert der uns verschiedene Touren anbot. Soviel zum Positiven. Das Zimmer war zwar sauber, das Inventar lässt leider zu wünschen übrig. Es gibt keine Nachttischlampen, die……

“La Terraza was an absolute delight. The staff and owners couldn’t have been more friendly, more helpful, more accommodating. We stayed in the El Rio apartment. A bit more expensive than a regular room but, OMG, so worth it!! Its large, has a beautiful view from the terrace, full kitchen, beautifully decorated. The owners, Charles and Peter, were an absolute delight. We talked through the entire breakfast and Charles even joined us one day for breakfast. The staff was also delightful. Mauricio……

“The property is in good condition. The room was good, big enough. The location is excellent. They helped set up our tours and we had an excellent time. Everything is super close. Their dock is nice and relaxing. We were able to get some beautiful sunset pictures. The breakfast was very good! We would definitely recommend it!”

“There was a significant amounts of ants on the floor of the hotel room. The photos made the pool seem bigger than it really was.”

“Room and bathroom were clean. We had a late flight in the San Jose, so checked in at the hotel after midnight, when nobody was there at the front desk, but we received clear instructions for checkin by messages and also from the taxi driver who picked us up. So, it went smoothly.”

“We had such a wonderful experience staying here! The property was beautiful and had such a peaceful, jungle-like feel, even though it was conveniently close to town. It felt very private and surrounded by nature, and we were lucky enough to see several different types of birds during our stay. They have parking inside, so if you have any friends or guest that drive and want to come visit they can leave there car parked inside. gs on the property that would bark occasionally, most likely when……

“Beautiful hacienda with gorgeous grounds, huge room and great air conditioning. Beds were comfortable and large. We were served a free hot breakfast on the veranda which was lovely and unexpected. The surrounding location is fairly industrial so we were surprised when we saw the huge gate open and the oasis within.”

“After making a reservation, we received a message stating that the property had not been available for a long time, despite still being listed. We were surprised and disappointed, especially since we have not received any response regarding our refund. Very poor communication and an overall frustrating experience.”
