"Huge resort, packed with families but the employees handled it well. Housekeeper greeted us every time we walked by her. She was such a delight. "

"Room was filthy and incredibly tired. Pillows and mattresses were so old and used. The property was in terrible condition and absolutely overrun with people. Beach didn't have a single square inch of open space and forget space at or in the pool. The wait for an elevator was at least 5 minutes each time. Our room was also at an angle... rolling off the bed angle. I've never seen anything like it. Staff were rude when we said we would be leaving 2 nights early because we couldn't stay there any longer. "

"Everyone was nice. The property was clean. There is no spa, the pool is very small, there is a second “pool” that is about 6” deep that is adults only and has sun loungers. They have some small activities but you have to register with the “concierge” who really just wants to sell you a timeshare. The property is pretty good but amenities are lacking. Especially given the “resort fee” you have to pay daily - which is puzzling because the amenities are not really any better than a standard hotel would be. "

"We stayed at this hotel for 6 days, and unfortunately, this will be our first and last stay. From the moment we arrived, we had a very negative experience with a front desk employee named Lindsay. Her behavior toward us felt disrespectful and, at times, discriminatory. We were traveling with an oversized van, and the hotel parking garage has a low clearance, so our vehicle could not enter. When we explained this, she simply told us to “change the car,” which is unrealistic when you’ve already rented a vehicle. The next day, we spoke with a manager at the front desk who acknowledged that the situation had not been handled properly. She explained that cars that do not meet parking requirements should be addressed accordingly, and some vehicles were moved that day. However, later that evening, we encountered Lindsay again, and the issue continued. She refused to assist, was very dismissive, and even waved her hand in our face saying she didn’t want to see or talk to us. This is completely unacceptable behavior from a customer service representative. To make matters worse, another guest approached to ask what had happened, and Lindsay openly shared details of our situation without any regard for our privacy. We reported everything to the hotel’s headquarters and were told a report would be filed, but we never received any follow-up. Aside from this, the overall experience did not meet expectations. The rooms are extremely small—comparable to cruise ship cabins—and the breakfast "

"Rooms are clean staffs are ok breakfast is cost $5 in separate restaurants with coupon which is good , air conditioning makes room cool but little louder also easily get car noise if you get road side room and no vent in bathroom makes little.."

"Our stay at the Ala Moana was amazing! The food was also amazing, but would have loved a little more options. Otherwise, the food options were tasty and limitless. The staff in the cafe were also wonderful, but by far, Heavenly was the most amazing!!! She goes above ans beyond, always with a smile. She's very heavenly, and very unforgetable! As far as the cleaniness of this hotel, we give a 5 star! Our only disappointment is that the hotel advertised and charged for ocean view, but in fact, it was only a glimpse of the occean! House keeping came to clean our room twice, but they never fluff and straightened the bed linen. The only thing that was done for cleaning the room was clean towels and making the bed looked presentable upon entering the room. Overall, This is a beautiful hotel, location is amazing, and you cannot beat the breakfast package! I would consider staying here again if not looking to pay oceanfront price."
