"An amazing hotel"

"This place is a hidden gem ! A beautiful old hotel sympathetically modernised yet retaining its historic feel. The adjoining restaurant/bar served some truly wonderful dishes and all the staff were friendly, attentive and welcoming"

"I love the that the room was spotless and very clean and tidy, staff was friendly and very good for value"

"I stay here regularly. A real local pub, where regulars seem to meet early evening but it gets quiet later. Very friendly atmosphere. Simple but great value rooms, good shower and comfortable warm rooms. Parking at rear and short walk to town centre. Excellent Italian restaurant ROPPERS just 200m away"

"Great stay helpful and accommodating staff. Funky feel, certainly would stay again"

"it was really food time everything g be exiclent find eazy highly recommend the"

"Electric shower is good but can be better"

"The heating wasnt working so we had to call up and turns out, the heating for the whole building was out so at 11pm we had to switch from cattle market to church lane apartment where we finally had heating but we were freezing."

"Really clean and well presented, have tried to book again for August but not available for the dates required Will keep an eye for future visits to the area"

"This property had all that we needed (apart from a cheese grater) and was a lovely, clean place. The noise from the town went on a little late but not ridiculous. The car park near to the house was great and cheap. All in all, we would recommend and would use it again."

"Absolutely awful… Stains all over the walls, stains all over the carpet.. Musty smell… It was so bad, we lasted 15 mins, we simply could not stay in that room on the top floor.. We handed the key to a staff member, left the building and rebooked at a hotel 20 metres away.. "

"A picturesque cottage and garden with very clean, well appointed modern facilities. Breakfast was excellent and the owner was very helpful."
