Excellent spot in Hyannis. Clean and cozy and very close to downtown and Kalmus beach.
The only disappointment was the lack of an indoor table to sit with family for dinner or games.
Thank you!

I stayed here with a group consisting of 4 adults and a 1 year old. While it was a bit small for our group size, we made full use of the spacious yard and grill. We walked to the beach almost every day, and it wasn't too far of a drive to the other places we wanted to see (Provincetown and the Edward Gorey house). Everyone had a great time.

Overall was extremely happy with the place. The only thing I would say, was a dehumidifier should be run 24 seven it had a funny odor to it. But fortunately we were able to open windows and the cross breeze was lovely.

We booked our travel rather late and a short trip to the Cape was our 'backup'. Understandably there were few options available at the time of our search. We've never stayed in Hyannis previously and were going out on a limb with this one. The house is ok, but it could be much better. I'm picky, but for the price, one can find a better value. The house location is a plus if you are interested in being close to restaurants and shops. It is convenient to the Hyannis main shopping street and is an easy walk. The other end of Sea Street leads to a small beach. While it is walkable, we never did it as the beach is underwhelming. It's honestly not worth the $25 daily parking fee as the beach is quite small and with the warm waters of late summer filled with seaweed. We went to Seagull beach in Yarmouth which is a 10-15 drive and a much nicer beach for $20 and includes proper toilets, a snack bar, etc. Skip the beach at the end of Sea Street. Other than a distant view of the Kennedy Compound, you are not missing much.
As for the house, it is a very simple and small cape. We've been fortunate to stay in other VRBO's that are clearly rented by owners and come with many of the accommodations one would like to find when electing to stay in a house and not a hotel. The basics are provided and one can find a way to cook if you are aiming to do so but it is a challenge. We were desperate to find a cutting board and reached out to the property manager to only be told that if we couldn't find it then there isn't one. So much for working to make the guests happy. We made do with glass trivets.
The house offers a place to stay that is a decent location but I wouldn't call it comfortable. Futhermore there was some mold on the shower curtain and the tub drain was extremely slow draining, leading to standing water. One would hope to have a hose to wash off sandy feet and sandals before going into the house. No luck. While there are two window unit AC units in the two bedrooms, they only cycle the compressor on and off but leave the fans running constantly when on. They are noisy. Unfortunately, there are no other operable windows in the bedrooms so it is impossible to simply sleep with the windows open and take advantage of the breezes.
In summary, the house is ok and will likely fit the bill for some, but it is overpriced for what it offers. Unless you are desperate for a very late booking, I recommend looking elsewhere.

We loved our stay at the Sea Street cottage. The location is very walkable to Hyannis and the main strip of restaurants and shops. Parking was easy and the space was as describe. Only issue we had was the cleaning crew thought we were checking in a day later and hadn't finished putting the linens back on.

Such a cute cottage, small, but worked perfectly for us 3 girls! Everything is small, not a lot of space to sit, but very cute & cozy, and clean. The most important thing is that the location is perfect, only a couple of blocks walk to Main Street shopping & dining!
Keep in mind there is only 1 window AC unit in the living room, so the bedrooms can get warm, but there are fans to use in there. We suggest they get ceiling fans or AC for those rooms. They also need to splurge on a little toaster lol, since they don’t have one, good thing we brought our own.
Thank you for our stay, we would definitely book this house again!

Power was out in half the house at arrival. We had to wait for over an hour for someone to come over and fix the problem. There were torn and patched screens, a tiny sliver of soap, no toaster, and there needs to be somewhere to place a suitcase, a stand of sorts. There were no chairs; the only place to sit was a thin uncomfortable futon that did not allow you to sit up straight, only lean back. Couldn't open the bathroom window because the sash broke. Just a tiny and totally uncomfortable cottage and bad experience. Left after 2 of the 4 nights we had booked and went to a hotel. This is very overpriced for any area.

Well appointed cottage just a little over a block from downtown Hyannis. Nice walk/bike ride or quick drive to beaches. Worked well for our family of four with 2 small children.
