“We loved staying at this property. The kids have already asked to come back sometime during the summer. My siblings and I all grew up in Hickory. My Mom is still there. My brother came to stay with my Mom for a few days. My husband and I and our 6 children rented this place so that we could be close while my brother was in Hickory. “We had a great time. The host quickly got back with me what I had a question. Sitting and watching the water was so relaxing, the hot tub was clean and fun. The fire pit was amazing also. The outside dining was nice to have as well. Privacy was a 10/10.”

“The small town of Valdese is cute and has some great things to see and do but this little bungalow is amazing! All the furnishings and appointments were clean, attractive and uncluttered. Everything felt brand new! Great snacks and water provided as well as thoughtful toiletrie additions in the bathroom. An easy 5star rating for sure!!”

“Simply charming house. Very clean. The owners provided all the starter items as well as snacks and bottled water. Notified owner we would be arriving late at night and they left lights on in the house for us which was much appreciated. There is a lot of road noise so if this might be an issue for your group you might think about bringing earplugs. Overall it’s a charming house.”

“This cottage was cute and comfy, with lots of little updates and personal touches that made our stay extra special. Starting with the chalkboard welcome sign, we felt from the beginning like things were set up just for us. The homemade blueberry muffins were a sweet touch, as were all the little necessities in the kitchen (coffee, filters, Brita in the fridge, etc.) and the bathrooms (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hair dryer). This property is in the middle of so many fun places to visit. Plenty of things to do for everyone in the family. Dara was a gracious host and was easy to get a hold of anytime we needed. “My father and I and my dog stayed at the cottage to visit my daughter who attends LR for a track meet. The beds were super comfy. My dog loved the yard to play frisbee and round around.
