"The property is a historic residence converted for hospitality. It's lovingly restored with modern facilities comfortable for westerners while still feeling like you're in historic Japan. "It was hard to access without a car (required a 40-minute bus ride from Kurashiki Station and a 15-minute walk from the nearest bus stop). The public bath house was nice, but some calming music would make it a little more relaxing when it's quiet. Otherwise, the door opening was very jarring."
