Family Holiday

Have just returned from weeks Holiday to Dollies Barn with 11 members of the family of all ages, the grandchildren have enjoyed the freedom of the gardens which were beautifully kept. The house was spotlessly clean and very well equipped, even everything we needed for BBQ, thoroughly enjoyable Holiday.

Lovely Cottage

The cottage was suitable for 12 people. Especially, kitchen, eating and living were big enough for this number of persons. The kitchen and the equipment were brandnew and perfectly clean. The house is located perfectly for day trips to beaches and other sights/activities. We will be back!

Great cottage

Stsyed here with my extended family and had the best time. The kitchen/lounge spaced worked really well for us as we were able to keep an eye on the little ones whilst we cooked etc. The kitchen was really well stocked with all the equipment you could possibly need. The outside space was beautiful and very peaceful. The kids loved running around the play area, it provided lots of entertainment. Location was great, short drive to both Ilfracombe and Woolacombe and quick drive to a big shop.

Good but could be better!

We enjoyed our stay at the farm which was partly because we had such lovely weather. The facilities were generally good but we felt that supplying enough toilet rolls and dishwasher tablets for the stay would have cost nothing and been a blessing! Also part of the the children's play equipment was broken when we arrived ( the little child swing) and should have been checked as it could have potentially been dangerous. On the whole though our stay at Dolly's Barn was a good one.

The Barn was a delight to stay in. We were three families and there was plenty of room for everyone. The accommodation was clean, well presented and well equipped. The beds were comfortable with warm duvets, and there was a children’s playground close by for the children. I would recommend and stay again.

New year holiday with friends/families

This was our second group visit to these cottages to celebrate New year and it was as good as we remembered. A relaxed atmosphere, great living room & kitchen to socialise as a group. The swimming pool was again a big hit with the whole group along with Max, the resident dog who was particularly well trained! Richard & Ally were as lovely as before & the eggs were superb. Fully recommend!

Great

Lovely old cottage located within a few minutes drive of Ilfracome harbour. The gardens are fabulous with so much for the kids to explore, it gave them a real sense of freedom and was priceless. The facilities are very good and almost everything you need for a great holiday is provided One bedroom however was basically un-useable as it had a very high skylight window with no blinds. Also be warned if you have an infant, the cot is a travel cot with only the hard base, you'll need to take a mattress as there isn't one provided. The outside space can be a bit difficult if one of your party is elderly or has a disability as the cobbles are obviously very old and uneven. We did have a wonderful week though and would definitely recommend this place.

In a nice location and at first glance looks very nice, we rented 2 cottages, aggies and dollys. There were 15 of us with quite a bit of rubbish, we used the recycling like they asked but the bin was just overflowing, other rubbish had to go into 1 dustbin which was shared between us and another cottage, so 25 people in all, after the people in the other cottage left on the friday that bin was overflowing with their rubbish, we had nowhere to put ours when we cleared up. I found this quite disgusting. You also have to be wary of the owners cat, it sneaked in every time the door was opened and would lie on beds and furniture, we actually found cat hairs in the kitchen. The only good thing about it is the location, cant fault that

Our Holiday at Dolly`s Barn

A thoroughly enjoyable week and the cream tea on arrival was well received!! Well equipped but could do with suitable microwave dishes and more info on getting the towel rails warm. Whilst appreciating the difficulties of Covid, having to be out by 9am was a bit much. This aside, it is a lovely venue.

We stayed at this property over the Christmas period.It was very welcoming and comfortable throughout. We had a Christmas tree,decorations and crackers ,but also a nice added touch of chocolates on each pillow a large box of chocolates and two bottles of bucks fizz The location is also just a short car ride away from Ilfacombe and other stunning beach locations

Dolly's Barn

A lovely spacious cottage with all the facilities needed by a large family holiday. We had 5 Adults and 4 children. The equipment supplied in the cottage was first class from the crockery and cutlery through to cooker, beds, linen. All first class, and just as an addition there is the beach hut with a great selection of beach equipment, including body boards, windbreaks and deck chairs. The whole experience just kept on givng

Property was lovely. Extremely well equipped. Close to Woolacombe and Ilfracombe. Only negative comment would be that blackout blinds should be on the velux bedroom windows as the bedrooms were too light in the evening when the children went to bed and then obviously when the sun rises in the morning and the children were awake a little bit too early!

Lovely cosy barn in great location

We visited here with our 2 teenage boys and 89 year old mum and it worked very well for all of us. A cosy communal kitchen/lounge and a spacious bedroom/bathroom downstairs - which is great for anyone with more limited mobility. And plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms upstairs too. The gardens are extensive and beautiful - with a large play area with play frames, football nets, table tennis and swing ball - and gorgeous areas to sit and admire the amazing views. The location is great - only 5-10 mins drive from Ilfracombe and Woolacombe, where you can enjoy the stunning beaches and learn to surf! And the owners were very hospitable and friendly and quick to address any issues we had.

A lovely barn conversion which suited us for a family holiday with ages ranging from 1yr to nearly 70yrs. Comfortable and well equipped. The children loved the play area in the garden, shame the weather didn’t allow us to spend more time in the beautiful garden. Our first trip to Devon and we found this to be a great location within easy reach of most attractions. A few cobwebs here and there and larger towels would be nice but overall a wonderful place to spend our holiday.

A lovely spacious and comfortable character house, very well equipped and spotlessly clean. Extensive garden with play area, picnic benches, bbq and summer house, very relaxing. Such a nice welcome from the owner, and a cream tea! Situated close to Ilfracombe but surrounded by countryside therefore very peaceful.
