We enjoyed our stay very much. It was so conveniently located to everything. The rooms were comfortable and clean. We could occasionally hear people walking in the halls and above you but that was to be expected because of the historic nature of the building. It was charming and pleasant.

The view of the Inverness Castle from our hotel room was amazing, the look changes with the clouds, the sun, the evening lights... The room was very spacious, a suite. It's a older building so the floor is not very even. The bathroom old tub is cute but not so practical for showers, you're wrap by the curtain and water on the floor.

The best part of our room was the view. The property itself is run down. The breakfast is the same every day, and it’s mediocre. The location was great, and the staff was pleasant and helpful.

We loved our stay at the Columba Hotel! The staff was friendly & helpful. The room was clean & cozy. The bed & pillows were really comfortable . We’ve been to other hotels where the pillows were ultra thin. Sounds silly , but the thin pillows affected my sleeping. One thing I loved was how peaceful the rooms were, you couldn’t hear other guests. We also had a great view of the river.

I spent 6 nights at Columba, staggered around tours including a 2 night tour. If I hadn't have prepaid, I would've moved to another hotel. The Columba has certainly seem better days and is generally run down, dirty and largely defective. Some staff were helpful when things didnt work, others flatly were not. I had breakfast only on my last day and it was possibly the worst hotel breakfast I've ever had. I will not return to that hotel under any circumstances.
