“We loved our two nights stay at Melfort House. It was peaceful idyll that restored us somewhat as we were nearing the end of our road trip through Scotland. Matthew is a wonderful host, and we felt welcome in his home. The breakfast offerings were top notch, and our room and bed were so comfortable. The location was perfect for a day trip to nearby Oban, which should not be missed, particularly for the seafood and Oban Distillery tour. “Our room was beautiful, cozy, clean, and we'll decorated. The staff were so nice and accommodating despite a flight change that left us checking in late and very hungry. They made us sandwiches and we're so kind. The location is wonderful and the property grounds are nice. Excellent breakfast. The continental was very well stocked and the menu items were delicious.”

“With no prior warning, the hotel manager totally amended our arrangements for our stay at the hotel. The hotel phone was not answered and voicemail messages were ignored. As a result, after travelling to Oban to catch the ferry, we had no alternative other than to cancel our trip at the last minute.”

“The staff at the Crinan was extremely helpful. Our flight delays had us getting there well after midnight and staff was ready to get us checked in and settled as soon as we arrived. I wish that we had more time to spend exploring the local area. Breakfast at the hotel was delicious and the coffee shop is an added bonus. Our room was perfect and the bed was amazingly comfortable. “Although it said seaview room, this did not happen. Beds were clean and comfy. We were put in a disable room (that none of us needed) there was a trip hazard with carpet between bedroom & bathroom. The wet room which had poor drainage and after 3 people showered the water flooded the whole bathroom. Without us putting down towels water would have seeped into bedroom. During our 3 night stay there was no change of towels or beds made although someone had been in the room to empty bins. For……
