"Hotel well situated with great views from the room and dining area. The staff were friendly and helpful and welcoming for our pet. The buffet breakfast was comprehensive but adding black pudding to the choice would have been welcomed - otherwise excellent. Overall great value and would certainly revisit in the future."

"The staff went above and beyond to accommodate. The room we were in at first had a pretty old mattress. I asked to get a mattress pad, and instead, they changed out the mattress. The food was great. Staff was friendly and welcoming. We could not say enough good things about this place."

"The grounds were beautiful, the view from our room was sublime, the food was amazing and the staff were friendly and helpful. We did a lot of moving hotels during our trip and I wish we had at least one more day here."

"Rooms spacious. Washrooms are huge and recently renovated. Food was delicious with friendly and knowledgeable staff. Views from dining room are exceptional. Hotel does smell a bit older, not surprisingly given its history. Remote location if someone is planning to spend a prolonged time."
