Outstanding boutique hotel! Perfect location on a quiet but stylish side street steps from Galata tower. The owners have done a wonderful update of the rooms which are large, airy and extremely comfortable. Bedding is excellent. The rooftop restaurant is superb and commands a sweeping view of the Bosporus and Old City. Best of all, the staff is charming and helpful. Definitely our first choice in Istanbul!

The Georges Hotel is really one of one. Not so much a hotel as the home of a very prosperous friend who has many extra rooms, lots of charming help, delicious food, and views of the Bosporus. Alex Varlik and his staff provide the illusion that they can help you do just about anything, go just about anywhere and get a good table most any first-rate restaurant. If you usually stay happily with the major chains and pick-up your points and look for the latest gadgetry this isn’t your spot. If you look for places that immerse you in the place you are visiting, charm you with their originality and their large comfortable rooms— this place is perfect.

Love this place

LOVE LOVE LOVE. Stayed there on two separate occasions during my multi city vacation in early April. My boyfriend and I stayed first when we got to Istanbul for a couple of nights and because we liked it so much, my daughter and her husband booked a room for our return trip after being in Ezurum for her wedding. The location is unbeatable. You can see the Galata tower from the street outside the hotel. The hotel itself is beautiful, quaint, clean, but its the employees that make it exceptional. The owner is also extremely friendly and a pleasure to speak with.

We stayed at Georges Hotel Galata and absolutely loved it! The location is perfect — right by Galata Tower on a charming street, close to everything yet still peaceful. What really made it special was the staff — so warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind. They made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. On our last morning, the owner of the hotel even came to our breakfast table just to ask how our stay was going — such a thoughtful gesture that really stuck with us. The rooftop is stunning — you get to see the beauty of Istanbul from above, especially during breakfast. The rooms were clean, stylish, and super comfortable. The staff were honestly some of the kindest, most helpful people I’ve met while traveling. Always smiling, always ready to help, and truly made us feel like we were staying with friends or family — not just at a hotel. Huge thank you to the whole team at Georges for making our stay in Istanbul so memorable. We’ll definitely be back!

Excellent location. The receptionists were amazing! The room was very clean. The decor was very nice. Rooms are spacious. The balcony is serene. Only a small issue: not all toiletry items and tea supplies were replenished daily. For example the hair shampoo was replenished but not the conditioner and body wash. Also there was only one set of toothbrush/toothpaste was there for 2 of us. But these were minor and overall the hotel is beautiful and the staff ( especially the the receptionists both day and night) were excellent and went above and beyond. They were very polite and very helpful. The area is very close to shops and restaurants. The upper level rooms have a beautiful view of the city and the water. Will stay there again if I go to Istanbul!
