"Our room hadn’t been cleaned from the previous occupants. Beds un-made and dirty, dirty towels on the floor. The sliding door to the balcony wouldn’t shut so the wind whistled through loudly. Contacted manager who arranged a different room, which wasn’t quite as nice as the room we had “booked” but was fresher. The bathrooms smelt like sewerage after 24hrs and made us feel quite sick. Every 2nd Elevator was broken. What would’ve been a beautiful hotel in its day was now very run down and needed...

"Hi, it was our 2nd time visiting Lotte Hotel Jeju & their service was next level. My family & I had the best experience ever here!! They speak both Korean and English which helped. I must say Rachel who helped us needs to be promoted as manager if she isn’t already!! The room was spacious, elegant and clean. The whole resort is very nice and well maintained. The pool and jacuzzi is nice! We would definitely recommend to all of our friends and family. There’s access to the beach down below but make sure you’re ok to walk up and down some steps as it can be steep. Last but not least, I highly recommend their breakfast buffet…. I think it is 2nd best compared to The Conrad in Seoul’s Breakfast Buffet. Can’t wait to go back again!! Thank you Lotte Hotel Jeju!"

"Clean room, somewhat rural location but 10-13 minute drive to Seogiwpo city proper. Very quiet. Didn’t have a chance to use pool but seemed nice. Room was spacious and cleaned every day. Just but more dated then the pictures. Worn down areas in bathroom and kitchen. Living room couches had old stains. But very clean."

"Note that there’s 2 buildings. The reception, restaurant, pool with view annd indoor “onsen” is in the new annexe. We stayed in the main building and had to walk a bit to those facilities. Found some of the staff at reception and the restaurant a little too rigid and inflexible. When I was asking for a late checkout, I asked for “as late as possible”. And he kept asking “what time”. To which I said “2? 3?” Thereafter he said “maximum is 12”. What’s the point of asking, then? Additionally, we ordered drinks in the restaurant and we wanted to have a hallabong that we bought earlier in the day. We were not allowed to eat it as it was “from outside”. I understand the policy but I feel it was unnecessarily harsh the way we were told. In addition, it’s not like they sell hallabongs for consumption there. Everything else about the hotel was good. The views, the onsen, the room etc. Jeju is such a dreamy place and this hotel is memorable."
