“Owner is a sole-proprietor, and she has several buildings where she uses for her hotel. The downstairs of the main hotel is for eating, live music (usually jazz), and for drinks, small bar. She took well care of me, we went together for a few errands, and I picked up a cold virus, so she took me to the pharmacy, and the option of going to the store, also went to the laundromat, as one dryer she has is broken, but for a few hundred yen, the coin laundry dries it in half an hour. Room was clean,……

“I recently stayed at this wonderful Japanese onsen hotel for five nights for the second time, and it was just as amazing as my first visit. The hospitality was exceptional; the staff was always welcoming and attentive. I absolutely loved the set dinners, which featured delicious kaiseki cuisine that showcased local flavors. The onsen experience was also fantastic, providing a perfect way to relax after skiing. Overall, it was a memorable stay, and I can't wait to return!”

“The cigarette smoke in the hallways was nasty. The women’s onsen is tiny. The room was quite small as well. The staff were amazing and so was the breakfast. Great proximity to restaurants, grocery store and bike store. ”

“The cottage has everything a family needs but the communications around check-in was very poor and hotels.com's customer service was unwilling to provide any assistance. I would have thought some level of quality control helped justify hotels.com's commission. Either way, the cottage is managed by the building next door and this is where you need to go to collect the key. ”
