Definitely a vacation to remember. We rented all four places in this amazing building and loved every second here. We grilled steaks Thursday night for dinner and enjoyed the hot tub. The roof top terrace was wonderful and when the rain and fog finally lifted, enjoyed that amazing fifty mile view. There were eleven of us. We shared the third floor with our four grandkids and our three kids and spouses each got a suite on the second floor. Our daughter found out they offered an atv tour and enjoyed that. Checked out the Christmas lights at night in Johnson City. Also had time to do LBJ Ranch and Pedernales Falls. Kathy answered all our questions and considering there are 2100 acres and ten places to rent on this beautiful ranch, you have lots of options. We would highly recommend staying.

Perfect family place
Everything was fabulous. Kitchen was well stocked, even condiments in fridge. I highly recommend this place for a hill country getaway! It was worth every penny! Kathryn, was so helpful and accommodating. If I go again, I would love to take an ATV with me so we could explore the whole property.

This was our second trip here. Great experience again!
We love staying in the Luis XIV Suite. We have a group normally of 5-7 adult men and everyone is comfortable and usually gets their own bed. It is our yearly small family reunion with my Dad, Uncles and cousins. The views are great! and has been such a quiet place for us to stay. We look forward to next year!

Always a great time!
Our family has been coming to the Lighthouse Hill Ranch for years. It is such a special place for us. The views are spectacular from every direction. The walking trails are so relaxing and we even got to enjoy a nice campfire by the pool. Kathy is always such a wonderful host. We will definitely be back!!

Stellar Views at Unique Location
This magnificent and grand property perched high a top a hill offers magnificent views of the surrounding ranch. Our stay was in the Louis XIV Suite which more than accommodated our family. The entire suite is spacious with beautiful views from every room. Would absolutely stay here again!

Excellent Hill Country Get-Away!
The Arc de Texas at the Lighthouse Hill Ranch is excellent! We stayed in the Louis the XIV Suite and had a great time. The Suite is spacious, clean and comfortable and provides easy access to all the sites and hot spots in Fredericksburg, Johnson City and Blanco. We look forward to our next stay at the Ranch!

Just a Wonderful Place to Stay
Amazing views, comfortable rooms and living area. Family trip so this space was perfect for everyone to be in one location with a full kitchen and room to spread out. The roof-top deck is the perfect place to watch the sunset and relax. We did not use the pool but wish we had brought swimsuits so we could have. We will definitely be coming back next year, no question. Only complaints I have is the water pressure is a bit sporadic and the outdoor grill looks like it has never been cleaned. I realize it is on well water and pressures are sometimes difficult but, only one person can shower at a time, and no other water in the unit can be used or the shower completely loses pressure. As far as the grill, it was so dirty that the igniters didn’t work. There also was no lighter in the unit and none of us smoke so that was an issue. I had to completely take it apart and clean the igniters to get it to light so we could grill, as we had planned on grilling every night. Both issues were an inconvenience but not something that would keep us from renting again.

We are already sourcing out a new grill and the well repairman has been there and has upped the pressure to the building...we have great pressure in the Louis now. Kathy

Family Thanksgiving 2020
Awesome views; wonderful lodging with everything we needed to prepare a traditional Thanksgiving meal for our family get-away! The staff at the wine shop were friendly, informative, and fun to chat with. Overall, a wonderful getaway and a nice COVID alternative to our normal clan gatherings for Thanksgiving.

Magnificent Property
The property is amazing. The suite included private access to the rooftop at night and first thing in the morning which was awesome. We enjoyed coffee by ourselves every morning on the roof and hung out and enjoyed the night every night on the roof. The place itself was in immaculate condition. Would highly recommend to anyone travelling in the area! We will definitely be back again.

Spectacular place
This place was simply awesome. Incredible views of the hill country, great rooms, lovely pool and jacuzi and a huge bonus for being able to shoot skeet. I will honestly be coming back here in the future. It is too good to not return! *Only reason I didn't give 5 stars for cleanliness was some broken glass under my bed, but negligible in the grand scheme of it all.

Overall great! just a couple things
Overall we loved our stay, lots of family fun, room was clean, staff was very friendly and helpful. The views are absolutely stunning and we really enjoyed the rooftop terrace. Two things made us come to a 4 start review.. 1. The front bedroom was really hot and there's no ceiling fan. Installing a ceiling fan would be good or providing an oscillating fan would be good. Something to consider 2. The check out cleaning list felt excessive and was off putting to our group. The explanation/wording was really confusing and in general it just felt like a lot of things to do upon our departure but in the end we did it all to the "T" because we wanted our deposit back LOL! So again, overall we would go again but would love to see these above items considered. Thanks!

Due to the clearances on the ceilings in that room a ceiling fan was not possible but we just ordered a floor fan to put in the room for future guests. Great getaway!
We had a great relaxing weekend! The suite was elegant with sweeping views of the hill country in every direction. The pool and hot tub at the Arc were well kept and very welcoming at the end of the day. The wine bar was well stocked and servers were friendly and knowledgeable about the surrounding area. We had no issues with noise or crowds. The creekside hot tub, grotto and the creek itself were spectacular. We enjoyed exploring the large ranch on ATVs and having so much space to ourselves to enjoy. The owner was very accommodating and a pleasure to deal with. This is a great place to stay if you’re a couple looking for a romantic getaway or a family looking for a ranch adventure.

This is THE place to stay in Texas hill country. Nothing better.
Outstanding property and wine room. Incredible service and wine selections. You have to stop by if you're in Austin or fredricksburg and dont overlook the wine club. Very well worth it!

Weekend trip
Great suite,! very clean in a good location. Really the only draw back is they charge you $325 for cleaning service if you do not complete cleanup list of 8 things. Not a big deal just think that it should be included in the cost of the suite. I would definitely stay there or on the property again. It’s a really neat set up.

We greatly appreciate your comments. We spoke with our cleaning company and they have agreed that the up-charge needs to be reduced if those basic items (like pulling the sheets off the bed so they can easily grab the linens and reduce their time at the suite, starting the dishwasher for them so they don't have to spend additional time there waiting for it to finish, hanging up the towels, etc) are not done. So the up-charge has been changed to now be $195 (with the pass through rate still being $135 to clean the suite after your depart). I understand your comment about having the cleaning fee in the base rate, however, we are just following the industry standard for vacation rentals on Vrbo. Whereby the cleaning fee is not included in the rate. But again we appreciate your comments so we can better our experience for future renters...we look forward to having you back at the ranch! Gorgeous home in unique setting
What a beautiful place to stay in hill country! Everything was impeccable in this suite-top notch quality furnishings, trims, every attention to detail and no stone left unturned. The ranch was fantastic with so many places to explore. Kathy was a wonderful hostess, very responsive and really helped make this a special birthday weekend. The kitchen is very well appointed, with plenty of spices, condiments, dishes, and utensils, leaving only one thing to be desired- ziploc baggies would have been a nice touch, as it was the one thing I forgot. Thank you for such an unforgettable weekend!!

Three days of relaxation
Plenty to do for a relaxing trip with friends and family. Provides both an out door experience with comforts hot tubs and cooling waterfalls around the property. In addition there is a relaxing wine venue with an amazing observation deck you can view both sunrise and sunset from. Pet friendly so we could bring our furbabies.

Definitely a nice stay in Hill Country!
This place was great. It did feel a little tight in space. But, it fit all of us perfectly (group of 12). The property was cared for and clean. Pool was clean as well. It could use a little shade on really sunny days. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Definitely thinking of going back. For a quick couples retreat.
