"This hotel was overall great. The rooms were spacious and well appointed- nespresso machine, dishwasher, tvs, etc. You could not hear noise from adjacent rooms or those above you - only occasional door slams. The breakfast had lots of options and was pretty good. I also appreciated the laundry room in the basement. It’s pretty far from the city center but close to a tram station. The staff were all helpful, friendly and always happy to accommodate. I would stay here again if back in Amsterdam."

"We enjoyed the location tremendously; and, staying on the boat added a charming ambiance to our Amsterdam experience. On the other hand, it is very tattered, dated, rickety and an electrical nightmare. Extension cords and hidden switches everywhere and very dimly lit. Floors covered with throw rugs that all overlap; the walls and ceilings covered with fabric that has been stapled on. And, used toilet paper cannot be flushed down the toilet. So, if you don't mind dealing with all the oddities, go...

"Staff was the most accommodating of any hotel we stayed in. We had to leave early to catch a bus and requested a take away breakfast. Not only did they prepare a substantial take away meal, they opened early to allow us a hot meal before we left and also gave us the breakfast which served as another meal for our journey. "It was great for transportation. Within easy walking distance of tram, train and metro. The apartment was quite spartan. Bring your own salt and pepper. It would have been helpful to have a microwave. It’s about 12 minutes from the central station which takes you out of the crowded areas but close enough to get to where you want to go. It was a very secure and safe place to stay."

Although there is no running water the host was very friendly and accomodate for us and always made sure we had what we needed.
