“Beautiful building and bedroom and dining room were really great. Clean, tidy, spacious. Owner was welcoming, friendly and made sure the stay was excellent. Gave great advice about the local oub.”

“Although our stay was fleeting (just one night) we were made to feel extremely welcome by all of the staff. The room lacked a TV, but actually this was an absolute blessing and it made change not to reach for a remote control. Instead there was a DAB radio which was playing a soothing Classic FM when we entered our rather classy country pub hotel. Everything was to a very high standard in our room. “Cute little cabin in a quite pretty location. Basic, but worth the money if you want a value for money private accommodation. My only comments (not complaint as these things don’t bother me). It was cold when I got there, it would have been nice if the heating could have been put on before arrival. The floor is freezing - bring slippers. The shower had a bit of a mind of its own and was either cold or red hot! It was cleanish but not perfect. And the tea tasted awful (not sure if water……

“The property was a little dated, but perfect for what we needed - quiet location with a nice little balcony to sit out on in the morning with a coffee and to watch the sunrise! Great breakfast also.”

“We had the attic room and it's very spacious. The bedroom has a huge bed that is not too soft and we slept like the dead. Dual aspect with sky lights. Fan and extra soft cuddly blankets if needed. Hairdryer, ironing board, iron and microwave. However, the fridge was the reason I booked. A seating area where you can chill without a TV on and a small book shelf with a wide variety of books. We were very pleasantly surprised. Lindsay, the owner is a lovely fellow and you could just stop and talk……

“We had a lovely stay at this pretty and comfortable pod. Jean was very helpful and friendly and pod was very well equipped and laid out. No wasted space but plenty of room. Great shower, oodles of hot water and plenty of power points. Wi-Fi excellent and plenty of cosy touches. Thoroughly recommend for those who want a property that’s tucked away but the host is at the farmhouse nearby. We will be back! Thank you for a lovely, relaxing stay and cuddles with your dogs!”

“This is a beautiful property set in the Devon countryside, on the edge of Dartmoor. It has beautiful views over the valley and you can sit out in the garden while you admire them. The house is really old and well maintained, full of traditional wooden beams. The breakfast is really nice as well and you can pre-order hot food. I would recommend it to anyone.”
