This charming one bedroom, one bath 2nd floor property features an Olympic queen in the master bedroom and a large covered deck off the the living room, updated bath and bedroom. The living room, which includes a sleeper sofa, is close to the kitchen, and dining areas. Both the living room and bedroom have televisions... | This lovely property is also close to the pool and and private assigned parking. Shipyard Condominiums are located in the Truman Annex Complex which is located 2 blocks from Duval Street and all of the Old Town Key West attractions. The properties are also located 1/4 mile from one of the best beaches on the island. The Shipyard units are single level condominiums which have private courtyards on the first level or balconies on the second level. All properties are outfitted with washer/dryer, pots, pans, towels linens, have central air conditioning, off street parking and pool access.

convenient location
The property was well maintained and central in location to all of the activities we had planned for our vacation. We were able to walk or ride bikes to all locations. Compass Reality Staff members were helpful and easy to work with. Very lovely stay.

Great location
This is our second stay at Shipyard. It is a perfect location. Did not rent a car this time and just rented bikes from We Cycle (close by). Other than the need to pick up keys at a separate location it was great.

Super Location
Very near Duval Street. Near the sights. We rode bicycles every where. We loved the condo, it was very clean and well appointed. The AC was very cool and plenty of hot water and bath towels. They even had beach towels. No noise was heard from outside. Bed was super.

May family trip to Key West June 2021
High marks. Great first impression. Clean & already at a comfortable temperature. Kitchen had everything we needed. Even lack of dishwasher was not a big deal. Bed was very comfortable. We slept well every night of our stay. Deck with awning was a great plus. Lots of dishes, glasses, towels, etc. Made good use of the washer/dryer. Overall, a great stay. Would stay there again.

Loved everything about thestay except checkin
The Shipyard Condominiums are a property about 2 blocks off Duval, but you would never know it by the traffic and people around the area. It's a gated area, which is nice at night, no loud parties wandering through. The condo is small but a perfect size for a couple or a couple with a couple young kids. 4 adults might be a little crowded. We loved the kitchenette. While a little dated, it allowed us to cook breakfast every day, full sized fridge, basic but fast coffee maker, dishwasher, and laundry around the corner. The AC worked well, the beds were comfortable, and the internet was fast.
Only two issues, and one is unavoidable on Key West as a whole. For one, there is a LOT of air traffic during the day. Truman Annex is right in the arrival path, so you're going to hear planes. Can't be avoided really anywhere in old town. Second though is completely avoidable and disappointing. The condo still uses old fashioned keys instead of a code lock. Not the end of the world. But the method for picking up your keys sucks if you arrive after hours and ESPECIALLY after dark. If you're not intimately familiar with Truman Annex you will never find the rental office on your own. After 9 hours of air travel, the LAST thing I wanted to do is drive around trying to find the rental office. I spent 30 minutes trying to find it before I finally got a sympathetic gate attendant that rode his bike to where it was. I had driven by it three times. Instead of giving you a map with a pinpoint they give you a paragraph of directions. While the directions are probably fine during the day, the office and the area around it is pitch black at night, and the house numbers and building numbers on Emma street are not related. So for the sake of future guests, please: SEND A MAP WITH A PINPOINT instead of directions.
Other than the checkin process though, we could not have been happier.

Great place to stay, will never use VRBO Again
Property was clean, great location, close to down town. Had everything we wanted. Town closed our 3rd day but we were comfortable in the property. I WILL NEVER USE VRBO AGAIN.

Very clean. In my opinion, it needs some updating-especially the kitchen.
The location was perfect. Right in the middle, so most things were within walking distance. Great restaurants were very close. The entire complex is beautiful and well maintained. Quiet and people very friendly.

Nicely maintained, excellent location.
The condo is comfortable and well maintained. The surrounding area is residential with a lot of greenery. We enjoyed the heated pool and sunning area. You are literally within blocks of such varied activities as live music, shopping, museum, beach and state park.
