Pros: We loved the location. It's so easy to walk to any downtown place via Duval Street with tons of restaurant options. Since this is a hotel and no AirBnB, you gotta go eat somewhere. You can also rent a golf cart or take an Uber to Fort Zachary Taylor Historic State Park Beach (best beach in Key West, except for overpriced bad food options). A golf cart is the best mode of transportation with 2 kids in tow. Walking 30+min in this humid heat, including beach gear, snacks and etc..., is just no fun. Parking around your hotel may be tricky and make sure you know the rules. We went off-season, so it was easy, but during high season-we have been told-it can be a challenge. If you book a sunset, snorkeling, sandbar or fishing trip on a boat, which I highly recommend, it only takes 20min to walk to the harbor or you simply book a cab/Uber/Lyft. The housekeepers were amazing and always made sure that we had enough clean towels. Beach towels are never in shortage and available to pick up by the pool area 24/7. Cons: The pool is very small, but then we didn't go to Key West to spend time at a pool. We prefer the beach and what nature has to offer. The marine life is just too amazing to dwell in a pool for us.

The property is cute with its own unique vibe. Our room did smell a bit musty, but it’s damp south Florida…so I took that with a grain of salt. There was some mold in our bathroom grout also, but I wasn’t in the mood to complain about something so petty. One thing I will rave about was Jefferson, he was working at the pool bar and not only was he a joy to talk to, he made a great drink!

Location is excellent. Very close to Duval st and easy to walk to most locations in the historic district. Plenty of good restaurants nearby. The hotel is typical old Key West style but very comfortable with good AC and spacious rooms. You can hang out by the pool after strolling around the streets and have a drink at the hotel bar. We got a two bedroom unit which was great for a family of four.

Food options were very limited and the timing for getting these was limited as well, but the staff at the Front desk and at the pool bar were excellent, but the food was very limited and the staff at the restaurant was only open until 2:00 PM. Rooms were very small so be very careful when selecting these on Expedia,

The hotel’s location is excellent—very walkable and convenient. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. The staff were unfriendly and seemed bothered by even simple requests. Our room was not clean upon arrival - lots of hair clumps on the floor in the room and bathroom walls. I took it upon myself to clean it as it was late at night. Housekeeping didn’t come until after 4 PM on the first day and only delivered clean towels and pulled up the bed sheets. Surfaces, especially in the bathroom, were not wiped down, and there was hair on the floor and in the bed. The shower was completely stopped up and didn’t drain at all on the first day. I would expect housekeeping to have noticed this if they had properly cleaned the shower. I texted the front desk asking for a proper floor cleaning, but it was never done during our stay. The advertised “afternoon refreshments” at the pool were nonexistent, and the continental breakfast buffet had crawling bugs. I would not stay here again.

Love the unique cottage feel but the rooms could use a redo. Couch, coffee table and chair in room life has passed its time. Also we noticed paint jobs were started half way up walls.

The location was great. Our room was perfect for the 2 of us. The shower pressure was amazing. The bed was comfy. The room was clean. The staff was very helpful with any needs. They contacted and got our bike rentals, also, set up a taxi pickup for our departure. If you could add a fridge in the room would be great, as it was hard to find COLD bottled water and it was HOT in July!!! The only other thing is lighting. The lighting was near the bed, but not near the mirrors for getting ready. I would rent here again. We enjoyed our stay.

Loved the room we stayed in. It was clean and quiet. Only issue when arriving was they had the bedroom door closed so there wasn’t good air flow and it was hot. Got the fan going, opened up the door and by the time we got back a few hours later, it was comfortable.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for our Key West vacation and we absolutely loved it! We were upgraded to a king size room with private deck and it was perfect for us. It was such a cute little room and the staff were very helpful. The location was also perfect for us, as it is very centrally located on the island. We will definitely be coming back!
