Excellent location and amenities
The location of this house for a mid-size family vacationing in the Outer Banks is hard to beat… an easy walk to the beach and minutes from shops, restaurants, and activities. The pool and hot tub are excellent and a great way to be outdoors when the waves are too rough or the kids have more energy to burn while dinner is being made. The house itself is a little dated but the kitchen is well equipped for a rental. Plenty of plates, pots, pans, and utensils for big family dinners. (Though be sure to pack your own dish towels, hot pads, and trivets). The bedroom layout is good and plenty of space that you aren’t on top of each other. The negatives are few… the cleaning the house received after the last renters wasn’t the greatest; we had to do some wiping of the kitchen counters, running a vacuum, and gathering up a few stray towels to put out for laundry pick up when we arrived. Also the linens are received in a bin and all beds had to be made upon arrival. But for the price at that location with the amenities, making our own beds after a long day of traveling was worth it.
