"My room stunk"

"We were stranded due to a storm and we’re thankful for a decent place to sleep before we headed on. Nothing remarkable, but clean spaces and friendly staff."

"We have been staying at this hotel for the last couple of years as our daughter goes to college in town. This hotel is always clean but starting to show some wear. A little bit of rust in the bathtubs, grout starting to come out around the tiles in the bathroom, carpet looking worn down, etc... This time, there was a huge cobweb hanging down in the middle of the room, the tub took forever to drain, and the toilet was really hard to flush. Just doesn’t give you a comfortable feeling of extra cleanliness and care. So, while the beds were still clean, and the staff, as always, very nice, we might start looking elsewhere."
