「This pub was a great find, lovely staff, great breakfast, parking easy and free. The history was amazing. The Gaskell tower is a must. We stayed in a heatwave , the room was warmer than expected, and we should have asked for a fan. The only slight problem, not the pubs fault, it is on the direct flight path for Manchester airport, they did stop flying between the hours of 11.30pm-6.00 am!!」

「This was a great stay. A beautiful heritage property. Felicia and her Paul were fantastic hosts. We stayed with our son his wife and their 22 month old toddler. They could not have made us more welcome. Felicia was very accommodating about breakfast and other things as our son was running the Cheshire held marathon. The breakfasts were all delicious. Highly recommend this as a place to stay.」

「Stayed here for 3 nights, no house cleaning, no fresh linen, no fresh towels, hotel does not accept cash, bar closed quite early, very over priced for food, beer, tea or coffee, I was charged £26.60 for 2 very small brioche rolls with rasher and egg and 2 small cappuccinos. Would not recommend and won’t stay again 😡」

「Ideal for a large family gathering with the indoor pool the obvious highlight. However the property was very tired with a lot of problems which continued throughout the stay. The standard of cleaning was awful. I spoke to the hosts wife to highlight the dog poo on the lawn in at least 3 places, the fact I wasn’t given an exit code to get out of the gates, the electric socket hanging off the wall in the lounge with wires exposed.
