「First time in a pod as we normally go abroad in 5 star hotels but this time we wanted the kids to experience some adventure and of course save some money. We are not campers so we took a gamble at a bit of glamping. This place was perfect for us, we didn't want for anything and anything we needed was in the little shop at reception. We want to do the same thing in wales when the kids are better at walking longer distances hopefully it's half as good as this place. Thanks」

「Location was good. Chalet was very dated, but OK. Shower leaked and the bathroom smelt of mouldy water. Outdoor swimming pool was great, but good if it could open later in summer. Main bar and entertainment were great for kids, but drinks were far too expensive - there's just no need for it! Arcade was hit-and-miss. Lots of machines didn't work, but never anyone around to help when you needed them. Good to visit, but won't be rushing back.」

「I generally stay in 4–5 star accommodation, and based on the website description and previous reviews, I expected Hay’s Wood Retreat to fall into that category. Unfortunately, the standard of the lodge did not match the ‘luxury’ billing — in my assessment it was closer to a solid 3-star property. If you’re used to genuinely high-end accommodation, I’d recommend tempering your expectations regardless of the marketing or other reviews you may have read. It’s a perfectly adequate stay, but...

「Hi, We arrived at your holiday park 17th October for a weekend away for 3 nights. When arriving at the caravan we notice that the caravan smelt off wee and cigarettes. After a further investigation we notice that the was a urine stain on the sofa, the sofa was also covered on crumbs and dirty. We then discovered that there was hair in the bed, sink and shower.
