「I generally stay in 4–5 star accommodation, and based on the website description and previous reviews, I expected Hay’s Wood Retreat to fall into that category. Unfortunately, the standard of the lodge did not match the ‘luxury’ billing — in my assessment it was closer to a solid 3-star property. 「We booked a caravan for three nights during the last May bank holiday; the place was not too busy and we were given a place nearly at the end of the carvan park which meant that it was quiet. 「Stayed for 2 nights. 2 adults, 2 children and our dog. This place is a hidden gem in North Yorkshire. We had the most magical time. The Tree house and hut tub were pre heat for our arrival. Despite being very cold the little Tree house was so so cozy and remained cosy all night long after the fire had burnt out. 「Hi, We arrived at your holiday park 17th October for a weekend away for 3 nights. When arriving at the caravan we notice that the caravan smelt off wee and cigarettes. After a further investigation we notice that the was a urine stain on the sofa, the sofa was also covered on crumbs and dirty. We then discovered that there was hair in the bed, sink and shower.
