"The location is peaceful and serene in the cloud forest coffee belt, but also still very close and accessible to Kona and many locations. The rental is very clean and stocked with what you need, including lots of beach gear and a cooler. The laundry does come with a fee, however the price is extremely reasonable for a complete laundry service and host is very prompt in communication and completion of your laundry. This is a simple, affordable and family-friendly place that supports a local family."

"This gorgeous property could not have been more perfect for our trip with 6 teenage boys! There was always something new to try—volleyball, racquetball, tennis, pickleball, yard games, paddle boarding in the lagoon, swimming, pool—it truly has it all. The home is beautifully kept and decorated with thoughtful touches (the kitchen is a dream for large meal prep and cleanup), and the bedrooms were true oases.Thank you for the magical stay!!"

Quiet and Peaceful Getaway on the Ground Floor and a short walk to the pool !

"Nice unit with a nice comfortable home atmosphere. Kitchen especially well equipped. Enjoyed several breakfasts and dinners on the lanai with beautiful setting.Only issue was that parking was only for one vehicle, not two as had been communicated. So any guests have to park on the street and walk in. Apparently this was a recent change at the Waikoloa Villas Complex.Will likely return as this worked well for us and was just minutes from family living in Waikoloa."

"Ruth and Buddy were very accommodating. The house had everything we needed away from home. And Ruth was always available if we need anything. Location was great. Not too far from town but away enough to hear all the night time critters. The frogs are very loud at night, but we enjoyed them."

"Couldn’t have picked a better place to stay from my trip to the big island! Waikoloa Village is centrally located, giving you great access to this side of the island. Only 20 minutes to Waimea for amazing barbecue at “The Fish and the Hog.” The pool is literally steps away for a quick cool off in the afternoon. If you like burgers, Smash Daddy‘s 808 is amazing and just across Waikoloa Road. If you wanna go max protein, get the 50-50 smash with bacon. For your morning coffee, you can go down the road to Starbucks or walk over to HiCO Hawaiian Coffee. The BLT sandwich and smoked salmon on toast are a great start to the day. I brought my bike with me on this trip because there’s great access to so many long rides with very little traffic and lots of great scenery including tons of wild goats! There are also great places to rent bikes if you need one. Bike Works Beach and Sport is located at the Queen’s Marketplace which is the big shopping center down the hill with great stores and even more food and groceries. If you’ve reached this point in my review, you now have most of what you need to have a great stay in Waikoloa on the big island. Enjoy!"

Sunset House

"We loved our stay at Sunset House. There were four of us staying there and, upon arrival, one of our friends said, “this is the nicest rental house I’ve ever stayed in.” We loved having drinks outside and watching the sunset, of course, and the feral kitty, who we affectionately nicknamed Bugsy, was the best. We had an amazing time and I can’t recommend it enough!!! We hope to be back. "
