"This is a great hotel in a wonderful location! The staff was friendly and extremely helpful in answering questions. They had nice amenities including the pool, free use of bikes, and free use of stand-up paddleboards. The hotel is adjacent to the Hilo airport, so you do get noise from an occasional jet during the day and into the evening, but if you're visiting Hawaii, why on earth would you spend the day in your hotel room! There are several restaurants within easy walking distance to the hotel. Personally, I really liked Ken's House of Pancakes. (Yes, they serve dinner as well.) Both the food and the staff were great."

"Very disappointing stay. The mattress was extremely uncomfortable—I could feel the springs the moment I sat down on the bed, making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. Additionally, my room was located right next to a busy road, resulting in significant noise throughout the stay. What made this even more frustrating was that I had specifically requested a room away from both the elevator and the road when making my reservation. Despite those requests, the hotel staff assigned me a room in exactly the location I was trying to avoid. Overall, the lack of attention to guest preferences and the poor quality of the mattress significantly impacted my experience."
