“It is a beautiful and quiet place in a wonderful Landscape, with a good distance to mass tourism. Our friendly hosts supported us whenever needed. The rooms and Terrasses are large and well equipped. The large breakfast is different every day and lovely tasty. The Village Drosia is nearby and several Tavernas offer excellent food for low prices. All in all a wonderful place to be if you don't expect luxury facilities. 😊”

“Close to the beach & the airport Karteros Hotel is in a great location. It is also 20 mins by bus from the port. WiFi is good, the room is large with lots of plug ports & a good sized bathroom. Breakfast had a wide selection of fruit, salad, hot items, pastries, fruit juice, hot drinks & more. The pool is large but not heated so can be chilly. A lovely one night stay. ”

“We stayed in a standard room in the main building and it was so lovely! The breakfast was awesome and the walk down to the village was convenient. This hotel has a lovely restaurant attached with great food. Zaros Lake is just around the corner. My favorite part was the spring water running down the side of the road. A very lovely village to visit on your trip around Crete.”

“This is a very nice, new and modern hotel. The breakfast every morning is very good and contains a lot of options and variety of food. We arrived early in the morning on our check-in day, and the staff was incredibly friendly and got our room together as soon as possible for check-in a bit before the standard time. Nice view from the sea-facing side of the hotel and only about a 20 minute walk to Heraklion center with a lot of restaurants, shopping, souvenirs, etc. Overall, this was a great……

“The resort is beautiful, the staff are very excellent and the food is great. Drinks wise there is a lot of choice however it’s lacking / chargeable for some things I’d expect from a 5 star (baileys / choice of vodka / whisky etc) and one à la carte in 3 days with no drinks included needs considering. The pool area is lovely, bedside service rather than lining up at the bar would be better (I’ve never known this in a 5 star before) The gym and yoga shala are exceptional, this alone makes it……
