“Amazing hotel, especially if you plan to rent a car! The bed is comfortable, the spa is amazing, and the food was great. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.”

“All in all excellent, ticked absoloutely all boxes for our requirements. Needed a "Staging Post" as early check out from holiday accomodation and very late flight time. On arrival reception staff very pleasant and helpful, in fact our room was ready for us earlier than normal time. Ground floor room, so no problems with heavy suitcases, very pleasant garden and clean pool with basic loungers and shade if required. Room lovely, exceptionally clean, with all facilities in consideration its……

“This was exactly the space we needed after a small apartment in Athens. House is a nice size for 2 adults and 3 kids. Girls loved the yard and the kid toys provided. The pool was too cold to swim in much in May, but was nice to have. The location is great, it feels so private and remote, but is a short drive to some great beaches. It was nice to have a tub to bath the kids. A couple of things would have made my stay even better, a larger pillow selection, pillows were very firm; provide beach……

“The Avli Lounge apartments are beautiful! We stayed in the Candy Suite for about four days. As mentioned in several reviews, location is excellent, and we were able to walk everywhere. Both Stelios' and Nickos were always available and helpful for everything. Do note that there is no elevator as the hotel is in Old Town and they preserve the structures. That also means you have cobblestone streets which still require effort for even the smoothest luggage. The suite we were in was on the 3rd……

“Our stay at the Royal Sun Hotel was perfect. The room with the sea view and balcony was of a high standard, clean and comfortable. The Hill restaurant, where we ate breakfast each day, had a stunning view overlooking the old port and the sea, and was a delight to sit at each morning. The breakfast choice and quality was probably the best we’ve ever experienced. The pool was great with that brilliant view and plenty of chairs and sunbeds to choose from. “The rooms were spacious, the buffet breakfast delicious and the staff was very friendly. However, our key didn't work. I had to go to the lobby 7 times for this, which was a hassle. Also, in a 5 star resort there should be some things for kids to play with in the pool and more pampering amenities in the room, beside the obligatory shower cap. Also, a free shuttle to Chania would have been a big advantage. ”
