We (family of four) stayed in the deluxe suite and loved the space and amenities it offered. Two bathrooms, two washer/dryers, two kitchen/dining spaces and a large outdoor area were absolute luxury after the small hotel rooms we had been staying in. The location is great. It was an easy walk to Pontocho alley, Nishiki market and the Gion district and vey close to the subway to jump on trains to other locations we wanted to visit.

One of the better places you're likely to stay in. Room was beautifully designed with great facilities. Very friendly staff. Came to really like the neighbourhood - near some classic temple sites and and much less busy than the better known Gion.

We loved our visit to this property. The hotel is just outside a nightlife area as well as close to the local Keihan train line and the subway. The room had a great comfortable feel to it and the hotel staff gave us lots of suggestions for what to do around the city. This was a great find!

Short stay

Although we only stayed for one night, our experience was very comfortable. The room was a bit cozy with our luggage, but everything was clean and well-organized. The reception staff spoke excellent English, and the location was convenient for visiting the shrines, temples, and the traditional areas of Kyoto.

Great spot

Great kitchenette room. Excellent location and helpful staff. The only downside is breakfast, when included,was very disappointing. It was served by the next door cafe that only offered toasted cheese and ham sandwiches, yogurt and juice.

Great place to stay

We were at the hotel for six days. It is the north end of the Gion district a few minutes from the subway, the river and walking distance from restaurants and shopping. Staff are friendly, helpful and speak English well. We had a room with a kitchenette which came in useful. The only negative, and a slight one, is the advertised breakfast is one of six sandwiches and a drink. Would definitely stay there again.
