Perfekt läge, charmigt ställe, men ganska obekvämt

Läget är perfekt! Vi älskade att promenera runt i området, särskilt tidig morgon eller kväll, när det inte är lika mycket folk och bilar överallt. Vandrarhemmet ligger på en lugn gata där dock biltrafik är tillåten. Vi stördes inget av larm utifrån under natten, men väggarna är tunna så du kan höra din granne snarka. Man kan få öronproppar gratis. Bo här om du vill få en smak av den japanska gamla stilen för en billig peng. Välj ett dubbelrum med trädgårdsutsikt om du kan. Vårt ”twin room” med varsin enkel futon (madrass) hade utsikt mot ett plank. Futonerna är tunna och de vackra tatamigolven något ojämna så tyvärr blev det en ganska hård sömn. Vi la till slut madrasserna på varandra och sov på dem båda två. Det blev trångt men bättre komfort. Dubbla futoner borde erbjudas mot en extra avgift! Vi behövde aldrig köa till dusch eller toa. De var alltid städade. Dock märker man att det är ett hus med fuktproblem då någon av duscharna och toaletterna har lite lite mögel på vägg eller tak. Boendet har ordet ”ryokan” i namnet och tidigare fanns en badtunna för gäster. Den verkar dock ha slutat användas under pandemin. Synd! Det enda som nu påminner om ett ryokan är den gamla stilen, inomhustofflorna och att du får låna en yukata (enkel kimono av bomull) under vistelsen. Du kan inte köpa till några måltider på boendet. Namnet är alltså lite missvisande. Totalt sett prisvärt, enkelt och charmigt boende med bra läge. Kan tänka mig att återvända!

ねねの道も八坂神社もすぐの最高のロケーション

何度か利用させて頂いてます。 古い京都の建物の雰囲気を味わえます。 びっくりするほど、素敵な門構え、そしてお庭は四季を通じて、様々な表情を見せてくれます。池には鯉も泳いでいます。 そして何より素晴らしいのが、ロケーション。宿を一歩出るとそこはねねの道。 朝早いと誰もいない道をお散歩できます。 コロナの影響で、スタッフは常駐していませんが、メールでサポートしていただけます。

Nous avons passés une nuit dans ce Ryokan. Très propre, les espaces étaient bien pensés (mention spéciale pour la douche qui permettait à un grand gabarit, je mesure 2m, de prendre sa douche confortablement et sans aucunes gène).

Increíble lugar aunque algo pequeño.

Si lo que es buscas es vivir una experiencia en algo verdaderamente tradicional de Kyoto, esta es una buena opción. Sin embargo puede ser algo incómodo si eres grande o alto. El lugar está relativamente cerca de templos y paradas de autobuses.

La casa es preciosísima, está ubicada justo en una de las zonas más aclamadas de Gion; la cocina está súper equipada y también hay un Onsen que puedes utilizar por una hora durante tu estancia con previa reservación. El staff era raro, te sentías supervisada todo el tiempo, incluso el hostal está lleno de letreros que te advierten que están bajo vigilancia, fuera de ello, súper recomendado.

Great location in the Gion District

While I didn't have the full ryokan dining experience here, it was still super-convenient to be walking distance from many of the sights I wanted to see! I only stayed one night, but I wish I had more time to interact with the friendly staff I did meet. Cute fish in the aquarium at the front!

素敵な雰囲気の旅館

旅館の雰囲気や、その周辺の街並みが最高でした。まさに古都という感じ。従業員の方と何名かお会いしましたが、全員物腰柔らかくステキな対応でした。女性専用6人部屋を利用しました。一人のスペースは広々して、布団もとっても清潔で満足です。ぐっすり寝られました。そこに南京錠がかけられる棚があります。入口のカーテンがどうしても少し隙間が出来てしまうのが気になりました。わざわざ近くで覗こうとしなければ見えないほどの大きさですが、精神的に落ち着かない時がありました。人によっては、全く気にならない程度だと思います。 共用スペースには面白そうなアナログゲームがいっぱいで家族づれや友達づれは楽しめるだろうなぁと思いました。陶器製のお風呂は予約制で使えるのですが、シャワーだけだと少し味気ないので、近くの銭湯を利用しました。徒歩圏内でいくつかあるのでとても楽しめました。本当に素晴らしい旅館でした。また次回も是非利用したいです。

入った瞬間部屋の匂いに ウッとなりましたが、なれれば大丈夫でした。施設ではなく、同室のどなたかの匂いだとは思います。施設全体は 清潔で気持ち良い空間でした。スタッフの方がすごくよかったです。

Good to experience something like the traditional Ryokan. Perhaps a sign requesting guests to note that walls are of course thin so could they be more quiet late evening, would help better sleep.

도미토리라 걱정했는데 완벽히 칸막이로 막혀있고 넓어 아주 편했어요. 거실도 넓고 편하게 되어있어 간단히 밥해먹기 좋고 쉬기 좋았어요. 편의점이 좀 멀긴한데 그래도 근처에 fresco 가 있어 도움이 많이 되었어요. 위치야 아주 좋구요. 단하나 아쉬운건 오래된 집이긴 하지만 편리하게 현대적으로 많이 고쳐져 있어 옛 정취를 느끼긴 부족했어요. 뒷 정원도 개인실에만 오픈되어 있더군요. 하지만 이게 장점일수도 있겠지요. 기온 근처로 간다면 강력 추천합니다.

Small but relaxed

The surrounding area was great. We climbed up to the mountain observation deck, I forget the name, sorry. Tons of local shops and still within walking distance to kyoto station(for us anyways, we walked everywhere). The mats were rough to sleep on but they offered us extra blankets to we were able to add some extra padding. Unfortunately no extra mats though. Still a minor language barrier but the staff do their very best to decipher and help if they're able to.
